Pirate Ship offers significant savings on shipping compared to traditional carriers like USPS Retail or UPS. They leverage commercial pricing from USPS and UPS, allowing you to pass on those savings to your customers or boost your profit margins.

I have been using Pirateship for3 years now and it has saved me a lot of money. I have tried other shipping alternatives and i always came back to Pirateship. I am glad they added UPS shipping.

Easy to use and saves $$ over what buying our USPS shipping labels from Shopify would cost, especially since Pirate Ship recently began offering even further discounted USPS rates.

You can also set it up to send the same Shopify tracking email sequence as if you shipped using Shopify.

I love Pirate Ship! However, I'm concerned with the "unsupported app" flag I'm seeing on the app via Shopify. Will the integration option be ending soon? I hope not! The rates are amazing and I'd hate to have to find another company.

Whew! Where do I begin? First of, customer service wins & the fact that the app is free however this App is lacking a lot of technique features in comparison to other apps. If you're a small business owner making between 1-50 orders per month you won't find much of a problem here but as you start to expand you realize this app isn't as efficient for larger amount of orders. Bulking orders is a hassle so I'm forced to have to fulfil orders one at a time which ends up costing more money in the long run. You're unable to customize postage i.e adding a note under the tracking number for your customers, you can only do so if you create an order which again doesn't make any sense if the order is already imported from Shopify. Another huge issue is text marketing, I want my customers to be updated BOTH email & text. This app only provides email shipping updates, we're about to enter into 2022 & this feature isn't available? Something has to be done about that. The list goes on but these are the biggest problems & I am really hoping you can make these changes SOON because you guys still win with customer service & easy to navigate app.

This is our favorite shipping app. Easy to use, good pricing, and has a fun aspect to it that makes it feel less like work and more like a game. Would love if they added a way to purchase postage for a standard envelope, but for our packages, works great!

It's the perfect, simple layout to help me get through the entire shipping process faster. My only complaint is that I can't use irregular shaped packages

Priority mail is always $3 higher than shopify, I don't know why when its the same sizes. I end of just being billed later.

My only complaint is, Pirate Ships Integration with Shopify needs to be to the extent that their shipping rates are displayed to the customer. This app and the support are top shelf.

I just used Pirate Ship for the first time. It is a very intuitive app and will make my life easier.

No complaint other than "Improve App Description."

I installed the App and it pulls in my orders nicely, but there is no way to display the shipping rate to the customer and the customer can't complete their orders. The rates are great, but you must preset a fixed shipping rate for each product regardless of where it ships or offer free shipping.

I almost upgraded my Shopify Plan which Shopify leads you to believe is necessary to use third party shipping apps. That won't matter in this case.

The app looks great, but make sure your use case fits the actual functionality.

I'm surprised this app doesn't have a zillion 5 star reviews. I give my customers free gifts with purchase and baby let me tell you...Pirate Ship is the TRUTH! I'm able to upload my customer list, print ZPL labels or sheet labels, stick on my boxes, print my 5630 form for multiple packages and schedule a pick up or drop my packages off at USPS. It's literally a one-stop shop! 500 GOLD STARS if I could!

This app is the best to reduce the USPS shipping cost and shows me the saved amount of money in real-time.

I save around 50 cents to a dollar on each package shipped using Pirate Ship rather than Shopify.
For example:
.7 pound package on
Shopify: $3.93
Pirate Ship: 3.21

Saved 72 cents. Nearly a dollar.

Small things that add up. After 100 orders I save 50-100 bucks on shipping. That's 50-100 bucks that I would have wasted. Pirate ship is the best.
Shopify UI is a little bit easier obviously but both are easy and for the money I save with Pirate Ship. Never going back. Thank you Pirate Ship.

Total lifesaver! I've been selling online for 20 years and believe me - I have used just about every shipping platform and ecommerce plugin out there, but this one takes the cake. It is super simple yet offers everything and more other paid apps do - like reporting - except for FREE!

I LOVE that it is exceptionally straightforward, I didn't have to dig around help guides or watch videos to figure out how it works or what all it can do.

It makes sense upfront and it just WORKS!

I was also relieved to find that the spreadsheet doesn't have to be overly complicated or formatted *juuuust right* like other services that can be SUPER finicky.

The only issue some people might have is it is only USPS; which is fine for me, I don't use anything else because in my experience USPS is cheaper, faster, and more convenient for customers so I honestly don't need integration with 200+ other carriers.

Probably the most underrated shipping app on here. It's incredibly easy to create labels and cheaper than paid apps which I thought was interesting. Honestly the only thing it's really missing in my eyes is the ability to combine orders.

Great app and customer service. Works great for domestic shipping, but not the best for international shipping since we need to fill out a Customs Form and there is no way to preview before paying for it. A preview for all the labels (shipping and Customs Form) would be very very helpful.
Will gladly move from 4 to 5 stars when it becomes available. :)

Pirate Ship is the App I didn't know how bad I needed it until I tried it! I tried dozens of others, only Pirate Ship delivers (pun intended) Plus I get to talk like a pirate whenever i ship and order Arrrgg!

I've tried this and Shopify's Basic shipping rates on several different shipments. I'm saving approx. $1 with Pirate Ship on larger packages, smaller ones have a difference of a few cents. Just going to stick with Pirate Ship for now. Works perfectly :)

Works perfectly! I get great rates on postage- and occasioanlly get USPS refunds through Pirate Ship as well. Super quick to answer questions as well. Love it!

The shipping rates offered by Pirate Ship were not cheaper than the Shopify Basic Plan. I selected the same size box, same weights, and same locations, but Pirate Shipping was approx. 30% higher.

Great app and a must have for your store! it's easy to use a makes shipping a lot easier for internal and external orders.

I was already using Pirate Ship on their website and it was really easy and quick to use. I jumped on the app as soon as I saw it because it integrates well with orders. Now I can take care of shipping very quickly. Absolutely love Pirate Ship.

Ok, if you think you are going to get rates that are insanely low right off the bat, chances are you'll be disappointed, BUT--and it's a big but, they are always at least matched to the lowest price in my experience with them. I sell on many channels, the prices they offer on items at or below 1lb is generally even with Shopify, Ebay, Amazon et all, but never more. They are at least equal on shipping light items, as the items get heavier it seems like Pirate Ship really does save money. . .While I have yet to find good savings on shipping on Pirate Ship compared with my main three channels--they actually do save me money over Bonanza (who charges to ship with them), Etsy, USPS.com. If a customer from out of state wants something delivered, I can offer it because of Pirate Ship at a reasonable rate. Very useful app, no upcharge. While I disagree with the understanding that many have that they save a fortune over other possibilities, they are always at least equal with the lowest--and they do allow manual entries meaning that even if you sell through channels (including in person) you'll save money on postage--and it can add up quick.

I was in your shoes too. I was coming from stamps.com and didn't feel like paying the monthly $16 fee anymore, so I scoured the shopify app store for an alternative. I searched and searched the crowded sea of shipping apps, and Pirate Ship stuck out to me. It had 0 reviews at the time, so I was a bit scared, but I decided to give it a shot.
