We Print and Ship Your Designs for You

Pixels.com is the largest print-on-demand company in the world. We're part of the Fine Art America family.

We've been in business since 2006 and currently have 14 different manufacturing centers located in 5 different countries. Our technology powers the online storefronts for 500,000+ independent artists, photographers, small business owners, and national brands.

Our Shopify app allows you to create hundreds of different products using your images and designs and then sell those products through your Shopify store.

We currently offer 100+ different products, including: canvas prints, framed prints, phone cases, t-shirts, beach towels, and more (see the full list, below).

Automated Order Fulfillment

When a buyer places an order for your products, Shopify automatically sends the order details to us.

We then manufacturer the products within 2 - 3 business days, drop-ship the products directly to your buyers, and notify Shopify that the orders have shipped.

It's that easy!   You don't have to worry about inventory. You don't have to deal with shipping hassles.   Just upload your images, create your products, and start selling.

Everything is fully automated.

Set Your Own Prices

We set a base price for each product that we manufacture, and then you add a markup on top of that base price.   Whatever you set as your markup... that's exactly how much you'll earn on the sale.   Let's take a look at an example:

  1. Our base price for a 14" x 14" throw pillow is: $17.00

  2. Let's say that you set your markup to be: $8.00

  3. When a buyer purchases the throw pillow through your Shopify store, Shopify is going to charge the buyer $25.00 and deposit that money into your bank account.

  4. Shopify will then send the order details to us so that we can fulfill the order for you.   We're going to manufacturer the throw pillow for you, ship it to the buyer, and charge your credit card $17.00.

  5. The buyer paid you: $25.00.   You paid us: $17.00.   Your profit is: $8.00.

  6. It's that easy.   If you want to earn more on each sale, just increase your markup.   You can set it as high or as low as you want to set it, and you can change it at any time.

I'm using this app for my canvas prints, throw pillows, and duvet covers. I would LOVE to be able to use it for art prints and framed prints, but the options that import simply do not meet my needs (details below).

Duvet Cover: Perfect. Everything works as expected and photos look great.

Throw Pillow: Works well except for product photos. I end up having to delete a ton of extra images since the app imports an image for each size, even though they all look identical (with the exception of the rectangular size). Importing only one photo per format would help a LOT.

Canvas Print: Works very well, but it really irks me that the sizes import with extra decimal places, for example, 18.000" x 24.000" instead of 18" x 24". I have to manually change every variant to get it to look acceptable. It would be a major improvement to have a rule in place where whole sizes wouldn't include those extra decimal places.

And now for the products that just won't work for me (but I wish so much that they did):

Art Print: Has the same issue as the canvas prints with size format, and even worse, it doesn't include all the sizes I need. Both the "natural" and "vertical/horizontal" sets of sizes should import. I realize Shopify has a limit on variants, but if this is the issue, import fewer paper options instead. I simply cannot restrict my print sizes to only a 3:4 aspect ratio; I MUST have 8" x 10", 11" x 14, etc. to meet the expectations of my customers.

Framed Print: This COULD have been a game changer. (Yes, it has the same size format problem as the canvas prints.) The real problem is the completely illogical combination of frame options. Now, if all you want to offer is a basic black frame with mat, this should work fine for you. (Granted, you'll have some clicking to do to remove the white frame options.) The basic black frame that is imported is excellent, no complaint there. But why on earth isn't the corresponding basic white frame imported as well? Instead, the white frame option is a much wider, more detailed frame style...it just doesn't make sense. I realize we can't have EVERY frame style; I wouldn't even want that, but my customers want a basic white frame which I can't give them with this app. Oh, and it would make much more sense to offer a white mat or no mat option, instead of the black mat.

I was really, REALLY hoping this app would work like the Pixels site itself where I could just upload one high-res image and get a whole host of products created and ready to go...it's just not there yet.

Be very careful if you use this App for a UK based business. Not all of the products are fulfilled in the UK. Some products such as pillows and framed prints are only manufactured in the USA which means any of these purchases made from the UK incur Import Duty.

It clearly states in their sales pitch that orders will be automatically fulfilled and despatched from the nearest depot to your buyer. This does not apply to all products. Check here to see which products ship from each world location.

We like Pixels among other print on demand companies but you ought to fix how these images display on shopify websites. We are not able to get the same display as we did on our fine art america / pixels page in our shopify shop, we had to manually link them to a page so the images will show up on our shopify website when we added the images to store they didn't show in our store until we link them and even now we still can't add phone cases or pouches as they are not displaying per artwork rather just displaying the products individually which looked too crowdy. But why so complicated?

Our app is free to install. When you receive an order for one of our products through your Shopify store, we produce the product on your behalf at one of our global fulfillment centers, ship the product directly to your buyer, and then bill you for the cost of the product. You earn a profit on each sale by adding a markup to the cost the product. The buyer pays full price (cost + markup), and you keep the markup as profit. A full explanation with an example is included, below, in the section titled "Set Your Own Prices".
