Shopify removes features without permission. On their latest "software update" they removed the ability to save carts. We often deal with multiple clients at a time in our brick and mortar store. We require this feature as we bounce back and forth with each client. Getting a hold of customer support was terrible, as they tossed my inquiry from different personnel in various departments.
The frustrating part was this feature was only available in POS pro, so we upgraded. Now it's not available at all.
This might be the last straw for us, we're looking into switching to Lightspeed for this very reason.
Very disappointed in Shopify.
The worst experience using Shopify POS. I use it for EVENTS in all different locations in the US. I am using Chipper 2X BT and this is the advanced one with no capability of capturing customer signature and also does not automatically capture key information like name THEREFORE, the customer can just say item not bought after buying it and then dispute it later. Plus for the charge back WE HAVE TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE which the system does not capture. So good luck with dealing with all the FRAUD that happens. Shopify will reimburse the customer without a word with the business owner plus take an additional fee for it.
Now I am left with dealing with getting information on a POS direct sale without any help.

As many others have stated, they will charge you $89 even after you try to cancel. They refused to refund even though I never used the app and attempted to cancel over a month ago. Was told it would get escalated to the billing department and then never heard a word from them.
Even if I had authorized this $90 purchase, I can't imagine how this app is worth that much a month. It is very limited in its capabilities. Its just a money grab from Shopify if you ask me. Its very shameful Shopify cares more about profit than customer satisfaction.
You need to have the flexibility to have different retail pricing within shopify to allow you to sell offline due to the different cost associated with online and offline selling. You are therefore missing out on $$$$ on fees and charges on using Wise because I cannot sell a $29.99 item offline at that price, and I'm not wasting time to add "add a custom sale", its time wasting and unprofessional on a receipt. You have the "Override" button there NOW, let it work both ways, that is, change the price above or below the current set price in Shopify. At least this would be a start as the coding at the moment tells it that you can go below the current price but you cannot go above the current sell price, WHY NOT, Its my retail business! I'm sending you an email in more detail. The variable pricing app does not "cut" it and will not work.

IT VIOLATES PRIVACY BECAUSE IT DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO CUSTOMIZE THE ANALYTICS WHICH MEANS YOUR SALES ASSOCIATE WILL HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR ENTIRE ANALYTICS, AND ALL THE YEARS, MONTHS, WEEK SALES , I MEAN ALL INFORMATIONS , WHAT WORST THEY CAN ACCESS OTHER STAFF SALES INFORMATION WHICH WILL COST CONFUSIONS.
NO EMPLOYEE WANTS THEIR COLLEAGUE TO KNOW THEIR SALES INFO
NO EMPLOYER WANTS A SALES ASSOCIATE ALL IN THEIR FINANCIAL.

I understand that on the POS your staff is able to see the Analytics report. The option to set permissions to your staff account is available in the POS PRO version, as it allows you to create only POS staffs; the Lite Plan won't have this option. I'll let our developers know about your feedback. They look into feedback from merchants and take it into consideration for use on our platform. I'm sure other merchants such as yourself have had similar needs, so we may see this feature implemented on Shopify in the future!
Entirely underwhelming experience. Brand new hardware doesn't work, awful support if you can call it that. Hello Square.

I made this mistake of getting a shopify account 3 months later the POS pros Is charging me 89 a month twice without any use from me or sales or premession , I tried to cancel and they want me to download the app give all the information they have already to cancel what I never had......I am contacting my bank to see if they can get my money , BEWARE if you get a shopfyi account they sign you up and charge you without premison then want you to download the app you never wanted to stop paying for it
I have removed this app and still (two months) getting billed 89 a month. I need this to stop or I will shut down the site completely.
It's so complicated. In addition to the fact that nothing is clear, it turns out that I am signed to PRO against my will. When I simply deleted the channel because I wasn't selling from the warehouse, it turned out that I was still signed up for PRO and paying for a whole year, thinking it was just Shopify payments. Definitely not recommended!!!

We do offer the Pro Plan as a free trial when you first start using the POS channel, however, the trail let you know that if you don't choose a plan by the time it ends it will continue on the Pro Plan and it seems to be what happened on your case. Deleting the POS channel won't cancel the subscription, so we recommend that from the POS channel you change the subscription to Lite(the free plan) > save it and delete the POS channel and the app. These steps ensure that you won't be billed in the future.
