Not impressed with their business model, forcing tiny businesses into $300-400/year payment simply to show when something is low in stock, instead even if I have 999 in stock, it says that.

Hi Woodland Herbal,

I appreciate you taking the time to share this.

I understand the confusion you ran into. When stores use a high stock value (like 999) for made-to-order products, the Low Stock badge can appear unexpectedly if the inventory threshold isn’t configured the way you intend. The badge and the back-in-stock functionality are separate settings, and the threshold can be adjusted so it only appears when inventory genuinely drops below the level you choose.

I saw the conversation you had with support where those settings were shared. If it still didn’t behave the way you needed, I’d be more than happy to personally take another look with you and make sure it’s configured properly for your store.

I also hear your feedback around pricing — comments like this are helpful as we continue refining how plans work for businesses of different sizes.

This app charges $500+/month for one job: send notifications. And it can’t even recognize a valid U.S. phone number if it has dashes or +1.

I entered ***-***-**** and +* ***-***-**** (both valid), and the app told me my phone number was “not valid” with zero guidance. If you only accept 10 digits, say “Use **********.” Don’t gaslight users with a generic error.

For a paid product at this price, basic input validation and clear error messages are the bare minimum. Right now it’s expensive friction.

Scraps customer emails for itself and hides customer info

Thank you for sharing your concern.

We want to address this clearly and directly: Notify Me! does not scrape or collect customer emails for its own use. Customer contact information is processed solely to enable merchant-initiated notification workflows (such as back-in-stock or preorder alerts), and it remains tied to the merchant’s store.

We understand how, especially during a short installation or initial setup, certain behaviors or UI limitations can create confusion. Concerns around data handling are serious, and we take them seriously.

Our team previously reached out to better understand what you experienced, and we remain available if you’d like to discuss it further. Transparency and merchant trust are fundamental to how we operate.

Was a great back in stock notification app now they add all these other things that I wont use and want me to pay 200.00+ a year for an app that I wont use 75% of. They should separate the addon stuff and let us pay for what we want to use. Also they wont let you change to any of the lower advertised prices such as the free or the Kickstart plan they only allow the mid to higher tiers to subscribe to. So I guess there are other apps out there.

We’re truly sorry for the frustration this caused, and we appreciate you taking the time to share such clear feedback.

We completely understand the concern about paying for features that won’t be used most of the time. That’s exactly why there are multiple plans available, so shops can choose the option that best fits their needs and budget, rather than feeling pushed into a tier that includes more than they want.

We also want to apologize for how limiting this may have felt during the transition. We updated the pricing plans so we can continue improving the product and create value for shops in the best way possible. After switching to the new plans, shops can downgrade to a lower plan as well.

Regarding the Kickstart plan, we’re very sorry for the confusion. As mentioned in our pricing section, this plan was intentionally developed only for Basic Shopify stores in their first year, so we can better support new and young established shops as they grow.

One more thing ; our product manager reached out to help directly, but we didn’t receive a reply. If you’re open to it, we’d still really like to help and get this resolved in a way that feels fair.

Again, we’re very sorry for the experience, and thank you for raising this.

Bait and switch! We deployed at $69.90 per month, and they now want $500 a month for a basic out of stock notification solution! avoid!

Dear Accurascale, we sincerely apologize for your experience and any confusion caused regarding the recent plan changes.

As mentioned in the email we sent you about the retirement of your old Premium plan, “We wanted to share an important update — your Premium plan will be retired on November 30.” In that same message, we offered two options:

Upgrade to a higher plan with a 65% discount for 12 months, unlocking more features and higher usage limits if upgraded before the end of October.

Stay on an equivalent plan (the new Rocket plan) with a 12.54% early-bird discount for a year if switched before October ended.

The Rocket plan — which replaces your previous Premium plan — is $99.90/month, and with the early-bird discount, it would have been approximately $87/month.

The $500/month plan you mentioned refers to a different, higher-tier plan (Notify Me Plus), and we understand how this might have caused some misunderstanding. We truly hope this clarification helps and would love the opportunity to have you with us again.

Thank you for your feedback — it helps us communicate better and continue improving.

This company offered a decent product, but after we were locked in to their system, they raised the prices by hundreds of dollars per month. Unfortunately it is not a simple process to migrate to a new vendor because Shopify imposes an import limit of 1000 records. If you have lots of customers waiting for notifications, you will not be able to migrate. This company was polite, but offered no assistance in dealing with this problem. Notify Me was an expensive, complicated mistake, avoid.

We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this situation must have been. Our goal has always been to provide reliable service with clear communication and transparent pricing.

The pricing change you encountered was related to your store being on one of our older legacy annual plans, which functioned differently from our current plans. Our newer plans include additional features such as low stock alerts and wishlists, and we recognize that the transition may not have been communicated as clearly as it should have been. For that, we sincerely apologize.

Regarding the Shopify import limit of 1,000 records, we appreciate you highlighting this challenge. Unfortunately, this limitation is imposed by Shopify and is outside of our control. That said, we regret that we weren’t able to assist you further at the time, and we understand how this made migration feel especially difficult.

We know how critical back-in-stock notifications are for your business, and we’re sorry that your experience with Notify Me fell short of your expectations. Your feedback has been valuable in helping us improve how we communicate plan changes and support merchants during transitions.

If you ever consider giving Notify Me another try, we’d be more than happy to personally assist you to ensure a smooth and transparent experience from start to finish.

Unreliable for Critical Restock

We installed Notify Me! to manage restock alerts for our ecommerce store, but unfortunately the experience was very buggy. It took some manual back and forth with their team to get it to work, and when our products were actually restocked, the app failed to recognize the inventory update — it stayed stuck in “out of stock” mode and never triggered the restock notifications.

We reached out to support and tried troubleshooting, but the issue remained unresolved for an entire day. For a retail operation, that kind of downtime after a major restock is unacceptable — we put a lot of effort into preparing our drop, only to lose valuable sales and customer trust because the app didn’t function as intended.

Support was polite, but ultimately unable to fix the issue in time. I would not recommend this app if you rely on timely and accurate restock notifications to drive revenue.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

You’re absolutely right — when a restock is tied to a planned drop or revenue moment, reliability is critical. If notifications fail to trigger or inventory isn’t recognized properly, that directly impacts both sales and customer trust. That’s not something we take lightly.

Since your case, we’ve made improvements to how inventory updates are detected and how notification triggers respond to restock events. We’ve also strengthened our internal escalation process to reduce resolution time during revenue-critical moments.

We understand that the experience you described didn’t meet expectations at the time, and we appreciate you taking the time to document it clearly. If you ever wish to revisit the product, our team remains available to review your specific setup and ensure everything functions as intended.

Product page made no mention of a 3% fee on pre-orders. We removed our previous tech before installing this one (our mistake!) based on the many positive reviews, only to see we must pay a very hefty monthly fee to get the fees down to 2 or 1% on pre-orders. Misleading product page.

Hi EternaCards, we’re truly sorry for the misunderstanding and frustration this caused. Our goal has always been to provide clear and fair pricing, and we take your feedback very seriously.

Based on feedback like yours, we’ve now updated our app listing plan section to clearly display all transaction fees upfront. We’re also continuously working to improve our pricing systems and transparency to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

We sincerely hope you’ll consider giving us another chance — we’d love to have you back as a valued customer and show you the improvements we’ve made.
