We've had a great experience so far with Print Aura. Their app needs some work but in the end, what counts is the end product that is delivered to the customer. We've already found customer comments about the improved quality with apparel we've have printed through Print Aura. Our market also prefers American Made. Print Aura is one of the only POD providers that has a wide selection of American Made. Keep up the good work.
As others have said, I really wanted to like Print Aura. I liked their selection of Bella Canvas apparel and thought it would be a perfect match for what my store needed. That said, if I could give ZERO stars for everything Print Aura -- customer service, support, interface, and the ultimate product -- I would. Their interface is absolutely terrible, mock-ups are only for YOU -- they are NOT used when you order. What? They have a standard place that they stick a standard size 8" piece of art. Special request? Forget it.
The amount of time I spent (stupidly) trying to get the support I needed, set my business back about a month and I have zero to show for it and I paid full-price for the privilege.
No matter how many emails I sent, phone calls I made, attempts I tried to get clear communication, it did not happen. I ordered 5 test shirts and 100% of them were exactly what I DID NOT WANT and had written about repeatedly as to avoid this issue. I could not have been more clear that I needed to communicate my creative needs and questions. I asked a series of clear and bulleted questions and only get a few vague answers. And when I didn't get the answers I needed, I tried to cancel my order, but they had been shipped. No apologies, no "how can we help you be a satisfied customer?", nothing.
Buh-bye, Print Aura. Moving on to Printful where we should have begun. Their customer service is AMAZING and it's clear they're far more knowledgeable and helpful than the above mentioned.
THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY
We got $2000 stolen by Printaura. We're dealing with it for about the month and Printaura refuses to refund them back.
The worst of all is that they just charged us for $2000 in 2 transactions without any shame. Without any orders coming in.
And after you contact them they basically say to you "yeah, we will refund them back once you win the case on PayPal against us".
THIEVES!
That's all they are.
Each and every one of them!
Their customer service is by far the worst the world has ever seen and will not help you with anything. But I guess they were not meant to be helpful.
If you want to have your money stolen just like we did, go ahead and install their app.
If you do want to help yourself out stay away.
Staying away from this company is all it takes.
Any issues I've had they had promptly addressed and taken care of. I've never had any issues with anything ordered from them. The shirts and printing are quality and arrive to our customers quick and easy. Their app make it easy to add shirts and get everything setup.
I feel bad writing this review because it’s not a nice one, but if I can save someone else from making the same mistakes I did, it’s worth it. I’m new to the apparel business. I chose Print Aura because they have the best collection of environmentally conscious clothing of any of the print on demand companies, although, I was able to find a great company that has enough to fill my store. I chose Print Aura before I had come onto the App Store on shopify so I had already spent five months with them having test designs made so that I could photograph them and get my website up before I saw the bad reviews in the App Store. When I saw them, I panicked because my communication with their customer service and the quality of their website had already given me problems. Basically their customer support is Monday through Friday via email with one woman named Cheryl. Cheryl would only respond to my email the next day so for example, if I sent her an email on Monday I knew I wouldn’t get a response back from her until Tuesday. She would also only respond to one question per email, so if in my initial email I asked two questions, she would only answer one. At that point, I would ask the second question over again and have to wait another day to get the answer back to that question. Her answers were curt. She was never downright rude, but I could almost see her eyes rolling when she opened an email. When I asked her for help linking Print Aura to Shopify, her reply was, “you just have to push it through.” Push what through?? I decided right before launching my site that I would slowly switch all of my products over to this other company that I had found and phase out my products on Print Aura. My opening day came. I made some sales and I emailed her and asked her if the sales had gone through just to make sure that we were correctly linked up, as she had been so vague about the process, I was nervous about it. I didn’t hear back from her for almost 5 days!! I had to shut my website down and I immediately switched all of my orders over to the other company and dealing with them has been like night and day. Their website is so user-friendly and they have live chat 24/7. I don’t want to name them because I don’t want anyone to think that this review is about anything more than a warning. To sum it up, the customer service at printaura is terrible! They caused me numerous sleepless nights and major major stress, not to mention lots of money. If I had to do it again, I would’ve done things differently, so let me be your trial by error and believe me when I say that there are far better companies out there!!
After almost 2 months of trial and error and working with the people at Shopify and Print Aura, I have discovered Print Aura is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH UNDERGROUND THEME ICON.
When Print Aura asked me to try a different theme, it works perfectly.
If I want to use this program, I have to abandon my $180 theme
I changed to 2 simple themes and both work great
A very diverse amount of products but a piss-poor grade level of support. No one will talkover the phones to resolve real issues, just email. We took our business elsewhere.
I really wanted to like PrintAura. They have a great selection of products. But their interface is wonky. Products are pushed in, and appear on the site, but they will show up as "sold out" when you try to checkout. They display as shopify products, not printaura products. It takes over half an hour for orders to appear on the PrintAura website. There is NO PHONE NUMBER for customer support. Too much hassle. Don't bother.
I really like their printing service, products and colors. I have dont great business with them with no issues.
Do NOT use this printer! If I could rate them a '0' I would. The customer service is horrible and the turnaround time is slow. The website is clunky and you have to submit manual orders, which is time consuming.
And if a certain item is out of stock you won't be notified immediately. I submitted orders but I wasn't notified until more than a day and a half after I submitted my order. I then submitted a replacement order and that sweatshirt was out of stock. In my business, customers aren't able to order products that are out of stock or they are notified immediately. That type of unprofessional behavior creates a bad experience for my customers and for me.
There are better print on demand companies that offer a better experience from designing, to ordering, to customer service. Save yourself a lot of headache and stay away from Print Aura.
I was in a bind to try and get a manual order processed and shipped within a very small window. They got the order printed and ensured that the order went out in time without a hitch. I appreciate that kind of customer service a ton!
The customer service and support team is really great to work with and they have a nice selection of products!
I have worked with Represent.com Printful.com Printfy.com Teelaunch; Custom Cat; Gooten ....Like... all of them! I'll tell you why I like Print Aura
PROS: The Variety of Apparel is number one here. My shop stands out because I can offer fashionable trendy styles and colors. For Instance Printful offers Bella + Canvas 8800 Women's Flowy Racerback Tank for 17.95 but only offers it in 4 colors where Print Aura that same style for LESS $17.50 in 23 colors. Customer service has always been very responsive and helpful!! I feel supported and they are my partners in pleasing my customers.
AND they have an off-the-menu option ( not listed on their website) for Overnight shipping if you, as a shop owner have one of those emergencies. Their quality is long lasting and consistent and I don't really have to worry about artwork wearing off too soon , like with some other producers
CONS: Sometimes their website is buggy and Yes their mock-up generator is very clunky but I do have a work around that requires manual labor on my end *but* I see it as an entry barrier between me and my competitors. Most people will just get impatient and go elsewhere. I will be giving them 5 Stars if they should making load product more seamless .
I ordered two t-shirts as a test.. one organic bamboo fabric and one organic hemp fabric (both with organic cotton blends). One t-shirt used a white undercoating on the design as they recommend and the other did not. One advantage they have over other companies is that they do have a few organic products, and that is why I took the risk after reading the reviews. The quality of the organic t's are not bad, but there are many problems with the website and product building process. The technology is really dated so the process becomes slow, confusing and prone to mistakes. They don't do any quality control on their end so you won't find out if there is a problem until you or the customer received the product. They really push you to use a white undercoat on your designs but the printing quality with that process is bad. It ends up gummy and sticky and in my case the white undercoating showed through the graphic in spots. The other t-shirt I got had no white undercoating so the quality was much better... if I order from them I would only use designs that don't need a white undercoating. Also on the negative, the t-shirts arrived stuffed into a small pack with no thought to presentation... your customers will receive a wrinkled smelly mess. The wrinkles and smell was quite bad so I immediately washed the shirts... the bamboo shirt shrank a good size and a half... from an XL to probably a medium or a small fitting L. The hemp shirt shrank a normal amount so it was fine. The fabrics do feel nice but do not seem terribly durable. Also the tags were a bit discolored like the shirts have been sitting in a warehouse for a long time. All in all I wouldn't use print aura for standard products as there are way easier options... really they need to improve their technology to be competitive. And I would not use their Bamboo shirts because of how much they shrink. I would probably order their hemp shirts with no undercoating since that seemed like a good combination.
They entice you with their selection of sweatshop free/eco/american made apparel, then they send you the nice garments with garbage printing.
Installed....uninstalled. That's how far I got. Just poor web/ux design. I didn't bother fumbling around it.
I like that they carry organic and hemp shirts. But it's anything but easy. I feel like I need the Rosetta stone to figure out how to mock up and order the products.
Absolutely horrendous. They've messed up an order we placed twice now! It was only a simple reorder of a product we've ordered multiple times.
The first time the items came with the artwork about a third of the size it usually is. I contacted them via e-mail, no response. Then tried phone, no response. Then their contact form box, finally responded almost a week later.
It took another week of back and forth e-mails to get them to send me a replacement.
We finally received the replacement and our black artwork is yellow!
I've sent an e-mail but who knows how long it will be until I hear back from them.
My customers are furious and so am I. Don't waste your time on this app.
Service is non-existent. Tried them for one product and ordered a sample. It came promptly enough, but the artwork printed out of proportion and they did not follow the mockup correctly for sizing. I'm still waiting for a response after emailing them twice over a week ago. No live chat, call their phone number and all you get is an automated message saying they can't take your call right now.
Agree with everyone else about their app's UX -- it's horrible.
Slow turnaround time and overpriced. Terrible customer service. Much better options out there.
Selection is great. But the website is tedious and outdated. They don't understand the needs of their customers in creation process. If they had an easier software to use and mock up, they'd be the winners.
Their selection is great which makes for their shop to have great potential compared to other stores (i.e. colors, pocket tees). However, their website is really slow, hard to navigate, hard to use, and there's too many variables we have to fix and create on our own in terms of my images. Printful has been much much easier to navigate and I'd rather have good quality and easy to use companies.
For example, I was so excited that they have pocket tees but you have to create your own mock up images using other softwares so it was quite disappointing. You can't visualize what the shirt will look like on print aura. I called customer service regarding this but they just gave me the run around and basically said they can't do anything about making the process easier for me.
Might be something to consider, Print Aura, because the potential for making it a great company is there but your website is way too hard to navigate with too much extra work for business owners. Glad I tested it out before I put it up in my shop!
THE WORST DROP SHIP COMPANY ON SHOPIFY. Customer Service is HORRIFIC. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AT ALL. You may have one or two orders that are ok, if you have one that isn't good luck trying to resolve anything with them. Pure incompetence. Should have paid attention to the bad reviews over the few good ones.
Their service is on point.
Fast shipping (very) and they offer an optional additional $1 rush shipping.
You can really get customized with your brand through them, they offer options to take your business cards you send them and slip in the package.
Customer service is always in touch with you if there is any issues.
Friendly staff and quick service.
I was a little hesitant to use PrintAura because of some of their reviews, but decided to give them a shot because their selection is huge.
I've been really pleased with the print quality and have only had one problem. One of the shirts had several small holes from where the printing solution had dissolved the shirt fabric. Panic! What if that had been sent to a customer!? I sent pictures to PrintAura and explained the problem.
I'm giving them a 5 star review because of the response. I sent the complaint off in the middle of the night. Within a few hours, I checked and saw that a replacement was already being processed. It was like 6 am, and way before normal business hours. I didn't get any notification, they just started fixing the problem. A little after 9 am, I received an email apologizing and officially informing me that a replacement was on its way. They explained what happened and assured me that it is a rare event.
I cannot complain about their customer service. I was blown away by how fast and easy it was to get this fixed. I may end up with a customer who gets a similarly damaged shirt, but with PrintAura handling everything so fast I'm confident that I can keep my customers happy.
I downloaded the print aura shopify app because I felt as though the current t shirt fulfillment company did not have enough selection of products for my customers (i.e t shirt and sweatshirt styles and colors). After doing some research, I found print aura and was impressed with the variety of products they had. Still being weary because of the mixed reviews they have received, I decided to just create one sweatshirt through print aura on my website, and ordered it for my self to see what the buying process would be like for my customers via print aura. I was excited when I received my sweatshirt so quickly, only a few days after I had ordered it, but was really disappointed when I opened up my package. Their print quality was horrible, and the graphic on the back of the sweatshirt was already peeling and stuck together. I'm so glad I tested their products before selling them to my customers, I can't imagine how absolutely embarrassing it would have been to have my customers receive such a low-quality product.
Great service, always helpful. Willing to help their customers. Enjoy working with them.
Not impressed at all. The customer service is rude rude rude!
After reading everything in the Image Guidelines, I began building my store... only to find out I wasn't saving my images as CYMK - My bad!
But them after REDOING everything, I stumble upon their YouTube page where I learn that the images need to be rasterized before uploading... a step that is NOT mentioned on their Image Guidelines page.
When I asked why this video isn't listed, and if there are any more steps I need to know about, I was directed to the Image Guidelines page.
The company give you NOTHING but the run-around.
It's sad really, because the potential for greatness is there! Unfortunately, they don't understand the meaning of professionalism.
Their website is extremely slow. Almost unusable!!!!
I spent several months comparing t-shirt fulfillment companies and choose Print Aura based on the research. I am probably the biggest critic you want to ever run into, so I write this review with the strongest convictions. I realized within one week that I made the very best decision for my t-shirt company. The company's staff have been responsive to my phone calls and emails. One email was just seeking comfort that I had done my mockups correctly. Yet, they responded and gave me the reassurance that I needed as a newbie. The most impressive thing was I launched my website on Monday and by Friday, Monday's customers already had their t-shirts in hand. We went with the Next Level premium tees for our men and Bella Canva for women. We are blown away by the quality of the tees and the print on them. Our packages arrive with our brand clearly indicated.
I wish I could post pictures of how awesomely packaged my products arrived. I almost shed a tear, that's just how happy I was that I chose the right business partner in Print Aura. My product is in the best hands. It takes a lot to impress me and I'm rarely blown away, but I've been both this week. I'm happy!
More like Print Awful.
No one ever answers the phone when I call and email responses are often inconsistent, "canned", condescending, and rude. When my customers receive crappy products it reflects poorly on me and my brand!
PrintAura does not act like a partner at all. It seems ALL they care about is padding their pockets while cranking out as many products (regardless of quality) as possible... Because, I mean, after all... if there is an error in an order it doesn't reflect on them whatsoever. It reflects on us (the small business). We get to take the brunt of the upset customer's irritation and loose money because of their careless mistakes. They have absolutely no skin in the game and it shows in their customer service.
I have had issues with a high percentage of my orders. I simply asked about quality control. The response I got was "Thanks for voicing your concern. There is most certainly a lot of quality control over here. However, we ship out a lot of products and errors can occur."
IF the level of quality control going on was what they claim, there is absolutely NO excuse for the number of errors that have occurred. When I responded to this asking them to call me to sort this out the response I got was, "Phone support is very limited this time of year due to the holidays. Emails get priority with us.
I have already made it clear to you that due to the volume of products we print and ship, human error can occur. When we are notified of an order error (via email with the order number and a photo), we can replace the order or issue you a refund. If you have orders that need either a refund or a replacement, please send us an email per order and include the order number and a photo showing the issue."
1. There has NEVER been an apology for any of these issues and saying things like "I have already made it clear to you" without any sort of "we are sorry this keeps happening" is really rude. 2. If your production volume is so HUGE that errors are occuring to this extent maybe hiring some extra quality control personnel would be helful. 3. By the time you let orders with problems (missing packing slips, incorrectly printed garments, damaged garments...etc) ship to our customers it's too late... an impression has been made. I get that some mistakes and issues are just a part of doing business... but come on. AND!! to get this "promised refund" is extra work for us, not only do we have to try to help our upset customer we also have to spend extra time to submit photos and order ID info in "separate emails" to Print Aura. It's just crazy.
I am beyond frustrated. I have tried to approach these issues with understanding and grace... but that last email I received was the final straw. I have only been working with them for a couple months and the amount of errors and lack of positive customer service interaction tells me it's time to find another option.
I'd say steer clear of this company.
I can only speak for the phone cases and pillows. They are both of good quality. HOWEVER, beware - print aura does not do quality control and if there is an issue with your images, they will not contact you like Printful does. I had a customer receive a pillow with nothing printed on the front! I am astounded that no one on the production side thought to contact me to let me know there was an issue. Instead, they shipped the product and I got a refund request from the buyer, who was understandably upset. The issue with the image was my fault, but only because I did not watch the how-to video, which they don't tell you is a must when creating the images. I followed the image guidelines as described underneath the video and unfortunately there was a step I didn't know about that you could only know about through watching the video tutorial. Lesson learned. When trying to reach customer support to figure out what I'd done wrong, they kept sending me back to the image requirement page on their website, which was not helpful to me at all (since I was under the impression I'd done everything correctly.) I asked for a phone call back to discuss the issue so that I could be clear on what to do in the future, but got a second email, yet again sending me back to the image requirement page of their website.
In essence, good products but really poor support and their image uploading system is not very intuitive so be sure to read every single thing and double check you've done it all correctly. You will not be notified if you've made an error, and PrintAura could care less if you have - they'll just print your product regardless of whether or not it makes sense to do so.
Printaura is an excellent addition to my new busy. Not only do they have all my needs in one place they have an exceptional customer support.
This is the first company that I've used with my business to print tshirts on demand and I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed. It is great to be able to have my shirts printed as they're ordered so that I don't have to keep a large supply of products that may or may not sell. However, everything else about the business is terrible.
Every product takes a minimum of 3-5 days of processing time before it ships. I've only been in business a few months and I've already had orders that have taken way longer than 5 days to process. After contacting Print Aura, it takes a day or so for them to get back to you with a "we're looking into it" reply. It's bad for my business because my customers can go to other websites and get their items shipped within a day or two of purchase.
In addition, they use a digital printer to print the designs on the shirt. The digital printer does not use enough ink and the quality of the designs is very poor. They don't offer samples so you have no idea what your items will look like unless you buy them and have them shipped to you. Then if you need to make corrections, you have to reupload the design and buy the item again. The shirts also have an odor to them when they arrive in the mail and you have to wash them before you wear them to remove the odor.
Combined with a slow, clunky website and poor user interface, I've not been happy with Print Aura. As soon as I find something better, I'm jumping ship and moving all of my inventory to another vendor.
Very frustrating. Very disappointing. Very unprofessional. I could go on. This is the worse experience I've ever had with an app on shopify. How do you offer a complicated product (sure it's easy to install, but then you have to set up your business on their website to sync with your shopify store, and it's complicated and time consuming) and NOT offer the ability to talk with someone?
I feel so cheated, I put the time in to read everything on their website, I watched all the videos, and STILL I had questions when I started to go through the process; like I said, it's complicated and all that information sometimes doesn't make sense when unexpected things happen, and you simply NEED to be able to talk with someone. That's why I feel cheated, I did my homework, did the research and when I needed someone to assist me to get over the hump, and they failed me each and EVERY time. EVERY time I called this company I got a voice mail telling me someone would call me back if I left a message. How do you go through a complicated set up process and have to send them an email, write them a message or leave them a voice mail and then wait for them to reply in half a day to a full day later? Then when you get the reply, if they misinterpreted what you were saying in your message, you have to wait another half to full day for someone to get back to you. Completely frustrating. Completely disappointing. Completely unprofessional. Seriously, a complete waste of time!
Horrible turn around. An order was placed on January 13th and they sent an email on January 25th saying "The B100 - 6-12 mos - Berry in this order is currently out of stock. Would you like to replace this with a different color? Let us know.
All the best,"
No apolog, nothing.
I would NOT put your trust in this business unless you want to sabotage your business.
If there was an option for no stars Print Aura would receive it!
I consider myself a perfectionist to an extent and the idea of having someone print and ship my products to customers without me laying eyes on them first terrified me and the results of my experience with Print Aura is exactly why!
1. The turn around time was horrible. I placed an order well before any customer to "sample" the printing and it took a couple days short of a month for my order to ship, so I had customers receiving orders before me.
2. I placed an order for four items and each of them had a different print size. A tank top had the back design printed on the from and back! One customer even had stains on the front of her tank top.
3. The garments smelled!!! When you open the package there was a stench that hit your nose. I understand ink may cause this, but it should NOT be shipped to customers this way!!!
4. Customer Service was lacking. They now have a phone number listed, but didn't at the time I utilized the app. I had to send a message and wait for a response.
I choose this route because I don't have the capability to purchase and hold my own inventory at this time. Printing by demand was going to allow me to fund that next step. Now my store is on pause due to this horrible service.
If you are serious about your brand and quality DO NOT USE THIS APP!
Update** Print Aura fully refunded both orders and put money in my account with them should I decide to give them a second chance. Their support staff worked well with me to refund my order and assured me that what had happened was rare.
My experience with print aura is extremely unsatisfactory! I have made two orders from them. The first I paid extra to rush through the printing process and paid extra for the quickest delivery. That was 2 weeks ago and I still do not have that order. I made a dumb decision and decided to make a second order, because I needed shirts fast and just thought the first order would be a day or two late. So I ordered a second time, this time I actually received shirts. However multiple shirts had stains on them. One has a black goo on it that will not come off. If I could upload pictures I would. DO NOT USE THIS PRINT/SHIPPER!!!!!!
We have just started using PrintAura and we are very satisfied with their services. As a new user we had many questions starting off and Matt has been very helpful and responsive. He helped us make corrections quickly and even rushed our order to overnight delivery when we were pressed for time for one of our projects. Additionally, we were impressed with their t-shirt printing quality, delivery, and prices. We totally recommend PrintAura.
Thank you, Bold Faith

Edit: After this review posted I was contacted by the owner of PrintAura, and was told that the issue would be resolved and that I would not be charged for their mistake. As a result, I've updated the review to 3 stars.
Original: Terrible. I'm so happy I decided to order a shirt before I opened the product up to my customers. Not only did it take nearly two weeks for the shirt to ship, they then sent me the WRONG shirt. After contacting PrintAura, they put in another order, which thankfully I caught, as they seemed to be trying to CHARGE for the replacement shirt.
I would not recommend this service to anyone that cares about their customers, they certainly are not worth the headache.
Print Aura offers a simple and straight forward integration that takes the guess work out of building a rock solid back-end for any startup or established t-shirt business.
The Print Aura App is only part of the total package. The support behind the technology is nothing short of amazing, and I have never had a single issue with their fulfillment process. Have a question? It gets answered. Have a problem? It gets solved. Had it not been for Print Aura, I would still be struggling with dead-end platforms.
Print Aura helped me to create a professional, well-organized t-shirt business on less than a shoe string. Their integration with Shopify is clean, efficient, and hassle free.
Right out of the box, you are ready to role. Print Aura is always available to answer your questions, and they deliver on their promise to make selling your shirt designs a breeze.
Print Aura has made opening our Shopify site extremely simple. The API works great with the store and makes orders go though quickly and efficiently. Matt is always willing to help out with any question that may come up.
Very good customer service. Print Aura does a great job integrating with your Shopify account. Everything is user friendly which makes it easier to get started & making a successful business. Will definitely be using their service for awhile. Check out our site www.CrownTheRoyales.com
Excellent support, nice tools and a friendly manager
Print Aura is a great tool for any clothing business starting out. It's the most user friendly API I've ever dealt with. It makes using a shopify store very easy to maintain and update from shipping to inventory and releasing new design.
I would like an update uploaded files instead of having to re upload a whole new file if you make changes to a design. Or possibly just a more user friendly way to view the uploaded files when creating new products.
Overall you just can't beat Print Aura
Matt at Print Aura is great! He takes the time to help you figure out how to size your items and create mockups, and is very patient with beginners who need explanations. I started with Print Aura a year or so ago and have done lots of business with them. Their lead times seem to have improved and their customer service is great if there is a mistake made on their part. They have a bigger item selection than any of their current shopify competitors and their pricing is competitive. The only thing I wish they had was a mockup creator that was built in, but I know that costs a ton of money to develop. Overall if you need a DTG printer, you should try these guys out!
Matt over at Printaura is the most RESPONSIVE guy I've ever worked with - their customer service is top notch and I've never had an issue with them.
Printaura has a great and intuitive platform that's easy to use, very reasonably priced (in fact, I doubt you can find a cheaper print on demand company), and has let us brand everything from the shipping label using our own logos to using their warehouse address as the return label.
I highly recommend these guys.
