Printful: Print on Demand

Great & seamless integration with Shopify. The quality of the finished product is top tier and we love that our customers love the end results of their desired customization.

I received the prints, and they are very poor quality. The colors are washed out and very blurry. The images of those sizes where provided w/ high resolution of 300 DPI. I will not be able to re-sell those prints. I'm really concern because I do not want my customers to receive prints of such a low quality. Please advise what went wrong and if you will be able to fix and provide excellent / sharp and bright image quality? Can you print w/ pigment dies to get best quality or this is the quality I should expect in the future too? Please advise!

Awesome experience! definitely recommend for beginner print on demand businesses. The only problem is that some things are a bit overpriced. For example, a Mug was 9.95, then shipping was 15.99, and then to actually make a profit, I had to make the price on my Shopify store 45$ just for a mug, so i had to use another product. That is the only problem i found with Printful + Shopify. Definitely recommended.

I LOVE PRINTFUL BECOUSE IS EASY TO USE, BUT A POWERFUL TOOL WITH A LOT OF VIDEOS TO HELP ME THROUGH.

IN MY SHORT EXPERIENCE THE ONLY THING I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE CONTROL OF MANAGE THE QUANTITY OF PRODUCT DIRECT FROM MY SHOPIFY, IT DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO.

The Good:

- Printful is amazing, the garment quality is great, prints are amazing, embroidery is pretty much the most customizable out there that I've seen (they can do gradients, and that's great!).

- It automatically synchronizes the products if you edit anything on Shopify, which is amazing.

- You don't have to be updating the product stock manually, they do it for you, which is great!

- Shipping is on point, and production times so far have been great. Faster than the other POD service we're using for similar items. We're using Printful more and more as days pass.

The Not So Good:

- Prices are not too good, to make a hoodie you're talking $20 US + Shipping (which is around $8.50), so even if the garments are good quality, there's no much room to play with the pricing, other garments can go up to $40 just for production.

- They offer customizing the packaging for some things (i.e. shoes), even though you can send them your packaging and they'll use that to ship your products I'd absolutely love if we could customize all our packaging directly from Printful, even if it's a little more expensive per item. It's a POD company, come on! (please make it happen).

- Some products cannot have custom label, we need this on all products, including AOP.

- The UI is not as intuitive, takes a little to get used to it, for example, uploading your own mockups is a little bit too complicated (I end up doing it directly on Shopify).

- Size Charts are pretty much hidden, it'd be great if we could save the size chart as an image and automatically put it on the product gallery as most themes will display the size chart on the description and will overflow the page on mobile, for example.

- There's no product care instructions added automatically to the description, this is a must. I know you've got a page that covers most if not all the products, however, this needs to be added to the product description by default. It's a pain to have to go over there and look for it every time we add a product.

- There's no easy way to edit a product, once you choose settings such has sizing and colors, they seem to be locked, you can't just "add other variants" to the same product, you need to save it as a template, then redo it.

- There's no easy way to copy products between shops (need to save it as template and recreate the products one by one on other shops), this is important because people usually have more than one marketplace, we for one have TikTok Shops as well (used to have Amazon too on other App).

The Bad:

- Product restocking speed is slow, I have been trying to add some hats I loved on Printful, but they're out of stock.

- Limited products, we could have way more Home & Living products for example (more variation on shapes for mugs would be good for one).

Over all:

Very solid POD option, the App is good enough, could be better, gets easier as you add more and more products. Love their production times and shipping is amazing, love the custom shipping labels and the ability to send them my own branded shipping bags (but I'd love even more if I could just design them and print them directly on Printful).

I'm giving 4/5 because editing a product, changing mockups, missing product care information by default on description, I'd appreciate being able to add sizing chart as an image and copying products between stores needs to be easier.

Very user friendly, even for novices like myself! Good prices, quality is what you you would expect at the prices you pay. Embroidery work is good and last, my experience with the DTG isn't great - Fades and cracks after not too long, but that said I haven't tried all of the suppliers so there's a fair chance that I was just unlucky. Overall, a great site and good for testing products for a low cost too.

Very good and easy to use and a beautiful variety of products

Easy trasnaction however this could be a five star if shopify and printiful platforms communicated with payment. Example when the customer pays, the cost of the product that needs to be paid to printiful should go directly there so the orders can be fulfilled sooner. I understand these are 2 different companies however since this is a partnership that would make the process seamless.

Easy to use, tutorials are helpful. I wish it would allow you to create an image color variant for light and dark garment print. Otherwise, no complaints.

Prices are quite expensive but don’t mind too much as quality is good. Prices however aren’t too transparent which I appreciate vat and post varies but makes difficult to create our retail prices
