Printful: Print on Demand

Initially, I had great experiences with Printful. Unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill quite a bit. I usually use DTG printing, and there were 3 shirts a customer of mine custom ordered from me so they could decide what amongst them they wanted to use for a larger order. Something was wrong with all 3. Printful customer service was awful, they just sent links to articles about not guaranteeing the look with DTG printing, they blamed me for picking a dark shirt with dark ink, except the shirts weren't dark, and the mockups showed up with the designs being very visible. Then they said the mockups aren't accurate and are backlit. But, we use those mockups for our listings, so I don't know why they would stand behind a faulty visual. Also, one of the shirts had a large darker colored square around the design, looking like they used a heat press for a supposedly printed design. Customer service was unwilling to remedy the issues or issue any refunds. They did not take accountability. Printful is also going to be raising their prices for the 2nd time this year. It's time I went with another provider.

Works great. Just make sure you have a funded account connected, else your order will display as "processing", but actually nothing is happening. There should be a better internal Shopify app warning when there is a funding account issue b/t Printful and payment account. I had customers waiting bc a CC had expired. Neither Shopify nor Printful alerted me. I had to "go and check" after orders didn't arrive.

The Print On Demand combined with backend fulfillment is making it easier to run an e-commerce store. Since my store is new, I opted to approve all orders and pay for the Printful services on my end. This works fine for me at this point because total revenue are going into my Shopify account. Overall the integration between Shopify and Printful is efficient, effective and complete allowing me to feel confident in the operation of my store when customers place orders!
