Printify: Print on Demand

This is an incredible POD app for your business. I recommend Printify because they offer you the ability to create your own products free of charge before you take orders from customers. They don't require you to pay them every month for a subscription. They're free unless you want to pay for an upgrade plan like premium or enterprise, but their free plan is great in my opinion. The only time you need to pay for anything is when you make a sale and you pay for the production of the product, but that's standard practice as an entrepreneur of of course. All products cost some money to source. What I love the most about print on demand is how you can take a blank product and make it entirely your own. You can offer a product to the market that is completely unique and never seen before. That makes you stand out in the market and also gives you a competitive edge compared to other sourcing methods. If I where to offer one constructive critique I would say some of the products can be a little pricey, but I would just recommend designing with their affordable products because their great in my experience. They offer a variety of products like supplements, shirts, sweatpants, mugs, bags, home products etc. I recommend that you sell their Unisex Softstyle T-Shirt if you are a clothing brand looking for a great product for a few reasons, one is, it's a great quality garment, it's soft and comfortable for your customers, and it is their cheapest shirt at the time of this review. In terms of the ability to create your own unique products, I think Printify is hard to beat in my opinion. Shipping times are very fast compared to other sourcing models. 2-5 business days. They also handle all sales tax on your behalf. I still think it's a good idea to file with your state gov to make sure you're covered if you have a LLC of business entity, however they collect it for you which is especially nice for people who don't have an LLC yet, are just getting started, marked "individual" for their business type. Printify's product photos are very clear and high quality, even for the product photos where there are models in the photos or the photos are folded. They also have an AI feature that creates your title and descriptions for you when you put in information about your product. Honestly, they're great. Again, my only constructive critique is some higher prices for some of their prices, but they offer lower priced items. I would say they are a great choice for you business. One of the best parts as well is that you don't have to hold any inventory. That is incredible in terms of the risk of investment, and for people getting started who don't have warehouse space. Those costs can be really expensive when you are just getting going. If you choose to go with them, I think they're a great option, especially if you're a designer, or like to design you own products like I do. Go for it!

This has made keeping items in my shop TREMENDOUSLY easier. I can still upload items I make myself, but if I have several designs I'm not ready to print on my own Printify does it for me and it's been wonderful! They have a huge selection of products to choose from and always make it so easy and convenient. Absolutely I would recommend them to anyone and I have.

Just checking it out! So far the process to make mock ups is easy. I do wish I could upload multiple designs at once.

My Review of Printify: User-Friendly with Room for Custom Mockup Improvements

Using Printify for my new business, Mystic Tee, has been a mostly seamless and enjoyable experience. From the start, I found the platform incredibly intuitive and easy to navigate. Setting up my store, selecting products, and creating designs were all straightforward processes. The range of products available to customize and the integration with Shopify made launching my print-on-demand business both efficient and accessible.

What I Loved: Simplicity and Streamlined Workflow
One of the standout features of Printify is how user-friendly it is. The mockup generator, product options, and fulfillment partnerships are all designed to save time and help focus on creativity. It’s been a huge relief to know I can trust Printify with the production and shipping side of things, allowing me to dedicate my energy to design and marketing.

A Challenge: Integrating Custom Mockups
The only area I feel could be improved is the ability to integrate custom-made mockups into the system. For my brand, I create unique mockups with my own backgrounds, t-shirt styles, and accessories to showcase Mystic Tee in a way that aligns with my aesthetic. Currently, there’s no direct way to easily migrate these custom visuals to match each specific product variant in Printify.

While the standard mockups are functional, they don’t always capture the personalized branding that makes my designs stand out. Having a feature that supports uploading and syncing custom mockups—without the need for additional workarounds—would make the platform even more versatile and appealing for businesses like mine.

Overall Experience: Highly Recommended with Room to Grow
Despite this one limitation, my overall experience with Printify has been excellent. It’s a powerful, easy-to-use platform that simplifies the complexities of running a print-on-demand business. If Printify introduces tools for better custom mockup integration in the future, it will truly be a perfect solution for entrepreneurs looking to build unique, branded stores.

I started using other websites to help print out my designs and a few things just seemed off about them, they never had certain things that i could design, shipping was crazy expensive etc: but once i came across printify all of these problems vanished, its simple and good quality production is the best ive used

Printify makes it so easy to go from idea, to product, to customer hands. The things I have had issues with the customer service has been right there until handled and then even backup after the fact. Impressed.

The Printify app is very easy to use and it has a lot of amazing products to chose from.

I love this printify Print on Demand experience because the options to work with are plenty. The main thing I would like in this app is more places to put custom designs on instead of just the front and back ….but other than that I think it’s worth trying for your own apparel business!

At Printify it is easy to create POD products. I wish there were more tutorials leading through the process of creating a shop and linking the payment and shipping processes. I could have bypassed Shopify and used my wordpress website with Etsy (to drive traffic) and would have saved a few hundred on set up. Also, you can start with the mockups on Printify for free but there should be a place to integrate Placeit with Printify to expand the mockup selections.
