Great app for managing my customer lists and sending out emails. They have good tools for building email campaigns and they are integrated into Shopify so I can see how many sales I get from each email!
Straight forward to use, fast and capable support, reasonable pricing model for a small bootstrapped business.
I've been using Privy for about a year and a half as my business has gone from $1k to $25k/month and I have no plans of leaving.
The intuitive platform has allowed me to set up email campaigns and more all on my own, and the support (the few times that I've needed it) is always quick, professional, and helpful.
The cost of the app also scales with your size (you pay a bit extra as your contact list grows), which is great when you're just getting started.
Highly recommend Privy!
PRIVY integrates seamlessly with our shopify store. Pop ups, emails, sms, reporting. You can customize every detail to match your websites theme. Additionally, I love how helpful their team is. I highly recommend PRIVY for anyone looking to maximize their store's potential.
Privy is a solid emailing app that's fairly easy to navigate, although there are times when I still find myself figuring things out. One of its standout features is the live chat support, along with the option to schedule Zoom meetings for technical assistance, which came in handy when setting up my sending domain. My experience with their tech support was excellent, especially with David S., who was incredibly patient and kind while walking me through connecting DNS records via Zoom. The email templates are easy to use, and I love that I can effortlessly integrate marketing images created in other design apps. Additionally, the ability to track who opens, clicks, or unsubscribes from my emails gives me valuable insights into client engagement.
Unfortunately, we are experiencing issues with the pop-up during Black Friday, and the first-line support team doesn’t seem willing to fully understand the problem or take the time to resolve it. It’s been over 48 hours, and all we’ve heard so far is: “Yes, the pop-up appears.”
We are already aware that the pop-up appears, but what we need is an analysis of *why* it is showing up more than 1,000 times with a 0% subscription rate. Additionally, we are receiving emails from customers reporting errors after signing in.
Could someone from the complaints department please review this ticket?
I'm Alex, the CEO of Privy. So sorry to hear about the trouble. Our Head of Customer Experience is reaching out right now. We'll get any issues sorted.
We love PRIVY!! It has been a pivotal tool for our Shopify e-commerce platform in driving sales for our independent beauty brand.
PS: Jose was super helpful and responsive to our tech issue. Love that they are readily available, every time I've sought help.
I had high hopes for this $40 app, but it was a complete disappointment. First, their live chat button didn’t work when I needed help. When I finally got a response from Alex, they suggested hopping on a call—but I’ve done that before, and it was just a sales pitch to get me to upgrade. I asked if this call would actually help solve my issue, but Alex never replied.
The app ended up conflicting with my theme’s coding and ruined a launch—items weren’t showing up in the designated collections! I uninstalled it after just 4 days because it was unusable. I requested a refund, but no one has responded. $40 down the drain for an app I couldn’t even use. Terrible experience.
Pretty easy to use and when I had an issue, they fixed it quickly with no problems
I'm not a fan. A lot of functionalities and customisations are missing and I feel like every time I contact support to fix something, it can't be done.
I've been emailing back and forth to get my fonts fixed (it wasn't displaying the correct font on mobile) and to get my custom fonts installed for weeks and my website even froze because of this in the process... The abandoned cart email images are super small and they cut off the text, which just doesn't look good. And they also send the email even if the customer removed the item(s) from the cart, meaning that they get an empty email... Their landing pages are not easy to edit (they use their old software?) and I can't use them because they don't look good/on brand. They have very limited fonts available. These are just some of the things that I'm not happy with and wish I knew about before switching to Privy.
Hi there - I'm Alex, the CEO of Privy. Thank you for this feedback. I've sent you a note to see if we can get you sorted.
Very good app to use for marketing purposes especially the spin the wheel and pop ups, also the after service is exceptional, they reply really fast and help you with anything, big shout out to Jose for helping me
