I've been using Privy over a year and until recently had no complaints. I was using a pop up campaign for my Black Friday/Cyber sales, and encountered a MASSIVE internal issue with privy. Basically, I tried to integrate my Black friday discount code into the pop up, however Privy recreated the discount over again which caused my discount code on shopify to become invalid. This resulted in nearly 2 hours where the Black friday discount code was completely UNUSABLE. This problem likely cost me thousands of dollars. I reached out to support and they game me generic replies to do things I already tried. Shopify support was able to solve the problem. I'll continue to use Privy, but honestly guys....you cost me a lot of money so this review was necessary.
very hard to switch between 2 privy accounts (i have 2 shopify stores)
The app has a bug in it where it doesn't give any option to import from. We need to take our customer database over to Privy so we can send email blasts.

I have been using this app for over a year with just the basic features and only 1 campaign. Because my overall website has a lot of page views they want to bill me $140 a month.

All I can say is: check the new price plan. It´s it just ridiculous how much money they want!!! How can you charge on monthly page views????

Used them once previously and due to a technical error on their side missed out on what I believe would've been a lot of sales. Lots of other services provide what they do, so I will be going elsewhere.
Started with $15 monthly cost and ended in over $30 with no notification of changes. I figure it out when reviewing the bank statements. This is NOT OKAY!!!
It is a pity, since the concept is nice. But the costs are far too high in comparison with the yield. ADVISE: DO NOT USE PRIVY!!

zero documentation, zero help, zero instructions, zero useful info, you'll be on your own to figure this app out, the videos they do send out are 3rd grade level garbage, ue / ui is poor they never have navigated their own app to use it, zero user input

It's now been six weeks since I first contacted Privy support with an issue with their app: the integration with the email platform I use (MailerLite) doesn't work, meaning email addresses are not synced across when someone subscribes via a pop-up. This is pretty basic functionality for a pop-up app, but fixing it doesn't seem to be a priority.
