In a nutshell...
This app allows you to offer your products in bundles, and promote those bundles to customers. For example, you could set up a "Sportsfan" bundle, where a customer can pick a hat, jersey, and t-shirt together and get 15% off each of their items. If they take one of the items out of the cart, they no longer qualify and they pay full price! The app allows you to run three different kinds of bundle offers: Group, Mix and Match, and Buy X/Get 1 (BOGO).

When you were last shopping on Amazon, you probably saw a "Frequently bought together" widget on the page that suggested a complementary product to go along with the item that you were looking at. They do this because it works; offering a discount on a second product means that the customer is more likely to increase the size of their order, which is better for their bottom line! With the Bold Bundles app, you can have this slick sales trick integrated with your Shopify store.
Three types of offers
Bundle by product (Group)
Using the product bundle, you choose a few specific products that you want customers to purchase together. This could be a set of cooking utensils, a few items from the same brand, or even just two complementary products (like a pair of shoes that go really well with a nice set of dress pants). Set the discount that customers will get if they purchase those two items together and you're done! The app will even show a widget next to the "Add to cart" button on those two products, which lets shoppers know that they can save if they buy the bundle.
Bundle by collection (Mix and match)
Another really effective type of bundle is made using collections. With the Mix and Match bundle, you can choose a few different collections of products that the customer can choose from. For example, your shoppers could purchase any hat, any t-shirt, and any pair of shorts and get a discount on all three, as long as they have one item of each kind. The app automatically figures out which products from that collection will qualify and applies the discount in the customer's cart.
Buy X, Get 1 (BOGO) (Premium feature)
One of the most powerful sales promotions in your toolkit is the BOGO, or Buy X, Get 1 offer. With this bundle type, a customer receives a free item if they buy a certain quantity of a specific product. You'll see this kind of discount in grocery stores all the time; buy 2 packages of paper towel and get the third for free! The app makes it easy and automatically applies the discount if the shopper qualifies.
Multiple discount types!
One of the coolest things that the app can do (from a marketing standpoint) is either discount by a set percentage, or make the bundle a set price. As an example, you could have a camera and a memory card that you want to bundle together, and if the customer buys both they'll get 10% off the set. You could also make the bundle a fixed price, so if they buy the camera and that same memory card, they'll pay a flat $100. The app will look at whichever discount type you have set and promote that on the storefront so that your customers know they're getting a great deal.
