We recently installed Optis on our new website and it is working well so far. The Optis team were very quick to assist us with tweaks we needed during installation. It's allowed us to offer a much wider variety of options for our products with some useful conditional logic applied based on what the customer selects.

Sehr gute App! Ein grosser Pluspunkt ist, dass man die Optionen direkt im Shopify-Backend erstellen kann. Bei anderen Anbietern wird man oft auf die Website des Entwicklers weitergeleitet, das bleibt einem hier erspart, was die Arbeit extrem erleichtert. Auch der Support ist hervorragend: schnell, kompetent und zuverlässig.

I really wanted this to work smoothly, but my experience has been quite frustrating.

I built a custom solution myself because managing preorders through the app was very time-consuming. For every product variant, I had to manually set things up just to show “preorder” when stock hits zero. If you have a large catalog, this becomes extremely difficult to manage.

A simple automation — like automatically switching to “preorder” when variant quantity is 0 — would solve everything, but unfortunately, that functionality is still missing. I even upgraded to the platinum plan expecting better support or features, but nothing really changed.

Another issue is with the “Buy with Shop” button. Instead of directing users to a sign-in page first, it sends them straight to checkout, which disrupts the normal customer flow and creates confusion.

In the end, I had to fix everything on my own. I appreciate the idea behind the app, but it still lacks some basic, essential automation features that would make it truly useful for store owners handling multiple products.

First, regarding the preorder functionality: we completely understand your expectation for automatic switching when inventory reaches zero. However, this type of workflow falls under a more specialized preorder system. As mentioned in our previous conversations, our app focuses on product options and customization, and while we can help adjust the display (e.g., showing preorder on Add to cart button), full preorder automation typically requires a dedicated preorder app. We did our best to support and provide possible workarounds, but we understand it didn’t fully meet your needs.

Regarding the “Buy with Shop” button, we didn’t receive any report about this issue during your usage. In most cases, our app follows Shopify’s default checkout flow and does not override or alter the behavior of accelerated checkout buttons like “Buy with Shop.” Had we known earlier, we would have been more than happy to investigate and assist further.

We’re sorry that the app couldn’t fully deliver the experience you were expecting. That said, we’re glad we were able to provide a solution and compensation during the process.

Your feedback is valuable to us, and we’ll continue improving the app to better support merchants with more advanced needs in the future.

It seems to be the right fit for my products. There are many options that I present to my customers and it makes my website successful. People are willing to buy because they are truly getting something that fits their taste. It just makes the requirements of the web design quite demanding. I just started setting it up but OPTIS product options has got me on the right path after many days of trying to get it done right.

I don't normally write reviews, but this one is worth it. OPTIS Product Options turned out to be an excellent application. It is simple, works just as it should, and any minor changes I required were simple to do. The pricing is spot on. It feels fair and provides exceptional value without reducing your revenue.

What particularly impressed me was the level of service. They didn't simply help me make the changes I desired; they also offered enhancements to make the layout and flow better for my consumers. I've never received such excellent Shopify assistance before. They were speedy, pleasant, and truly interested in assisting me with the best possible setup.

If you’re looking for a product options app, this one is absolutely worth it. Five stars from me.

Great app with plenty of advanced features that will take your store to the next level. It gives you a lot of flexibility and control over product options and variants. Guest services amazing, always ready to help you with the issues you might have and always supporting you in your vision and ideas you wanna bring to life. Already including in Shopify and very intuitive to use, you can personnalise kinda everything and if something is not already customizable, just reach out the guest service they will code it for you by their developers. I recommend.
