This app is powerful and almost perfect, we're already using it for 2 years. It's amazing to handle a large bulk of custom options, including image swatches, and many personalization fields, like text input for engravings in our case. And you can create multiple bundles of option combinations, applying them individually for subsets of your product portfolio. Exactly what we need to sell our custom-made leather products. Super helpful!

What makes it absolutely outstanding though, is their excellent customer service (rating 5+ stars!): They're coding wizards and could solve multiple UX problems for our specific product and cart pages within no-time, literally overnight. Without these custom adjustments, the buttons and price formatting would not have matched our product pages' look & feel. But they went above and beyond to make it look consistent. You rarely get such amazing customer service anywhere today!

Translations in the backend (our Shopify language is German) are still not great and leave room for misunderstandings (status: March 2023). But this is just a minor UX topic for you as an admin, and only if you're using Shopify in another language than English I guess.

Other than that you just have to factor in some UX trade-off as of the checkout page, as a buyer's chosen product options will always translate into a separate product on the checkout page (with an empty placeholder image). This logic stays the same for all steps after of course, e.g. in connected order processing and billing apps (also showing this separate products on shipping labels and invoices). There is nothing Hulk could do about atm, as they can only customize the flow until the cart page to guarantee a consistent look & feel, but not any further. Therefore, the UX is not perfect until the end, but at least until the final checkout page where a buyer already made their decision.

In total, I would give 4.5 stars.

Absolutely amazing app. Wouldn't give it any less than 5 stars. Tech support is amazing too, any intergration issues with custom templates (like myself) and they promptly fixed them. Thanks guys!

I downloaded this app specifically to add custom text box options to a few of my products. It has exceeded my expectations! I love that creating a new option doesnt effect your theme's code and only applies to products that you pick. I've had issues with other apps messing up my product page templates. I'm so glad I found this app.

What I love is that they are always willing to help and go above and beyond if I have an issue. Which it sometimes seems to glitch a lot, but I've learned it's cause of my theme choice or other apps interfering with their app. So that's sometimes a drag, but always happy they are there to help me!
