The level of service and support from this team is second to none, they are always on it when we need assistance. I have asked for help on more than one occasion. The assistance was quick and precise. I highly recommend SC Product Options. I have had multiple help sessions with the team, they are extremely fast.
The app does a great job and has added quite a bit of revenue to our site by allowing an easy way for customers to add small upgrades to their order. I had some issues when installing a new theme, and they were extremely responsive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the app to any other business owner who wants to add paid product upgrades or a simple way for customers to add personalization or notes to their orders.
We're so glad to hear that you're enjoying our app! We always recommend making a duplicate copy of your theme before inserting the code just in case. :-) But our team of installers are always ready to help in case anything goes wrong, especially when there's a lot of code.

The app is fair at best. It takes forever to sync to store (it seems I need to do this everytime I add a product). Adding an option set is tricky and not intuitive.
2024 Update:
I used to like this app when it was still run by a company called Bold Apps. Then, it seems they sold it to some company called Shop Circle and it's terrible now.
I've installed a new theme and I had to get them to reinstall their app on it. It's been a nightmare - at first, it looks like everything is done, then you find out that there are things wrong all over the place and so you try to get them to fix it.
They say they fixed it, then you find something else wrong somewhere else - OVER and OVER again. And it's not like one person is helping you - you get passed from one person to another, everyone doing a piece here, a piece there. I'm really upset and thinking about removing this app completely.
So disappointing.

I normally really LOVE Bold Apps and I think they're a good company, but this app definitely has some issues that they can't seem to fix for me. In particular, the app seems to randomly apply the options to some products and not others, giving me and my customers a very inconsistent experience. When I try to contact Bold, they are "kind of" helpful, but the thing is, I get passed from one rep to another and often have to explain the problem over and over again. I also feel that the reps do not read my messages carefully, because sometimes they make suggestions for things that I've already tried doing, which makes me feel like I'm wasting my time. I'm STILL trying to get it to work properly, after having it for over a month and paying for the $20 subscription. It's been a frustrating experience, but I'm hoping that Bold will try to improve this product, because so far, I don't feel like it's "there" yet.

Harris, your online Service Technician, stayed online with me as he worked diligently to assure my option issues were handled and fixed properly. I appreciate his passion to get it to work correctly. Products will always fail at one time or another, its just about the fix that can happen to get things up and running as quickly as possible and again he did that very well. We have used this app for several years and love it! Their chat support is a great feature. Axel helped me today with an issue that was ongoing and he fixed it in a matter of minutes. So helpful!
The app is great for allowing customization. There are some front-end learning curves, but the chat support feature has been a great tool for any questions I have.
I would rate the app 4 stars, but when I've needed help and gone through chat, a rep named Lina has been so great that the overall experience is boosted to 5 stars!
I've had Lina (chat/tech rep) help me multiple times, and she is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to knock out any issues I'm having FAST!
As a customer, with limited html/website building knowledge, I can't ask for much more.
