Overall, I like the app. I've been using it for a few years. It handles most of what I need. Their team is very responsive and helpful whenever I have an issue, so I really appreciate that. I recommend giving this app a try!
A good app, but could use a little more polish. Luckily, customer service is generally very helpful.
Customer service is fast and helpful. We had a problem with one of our product option sets and the representative I spoke to, David Thistlethwaite, was quick to respond (within 24hrs) to our questions. The problem we were experiencing was something Bold hadn't encountered before. After going back and forth for about a week, the problem was resolved when David suggested a work-around that ended up fixing our issue. Apparently, we may have exceeded the limits of one option set so all we had to do was create an extra option set for the remainder of the products. While it wasn't a clean resolve, I did feel like David had tried everything he could to fix our issue. I do have a suggestion, though. It would be helpful to have a toggle switch on the product options. We were running a sale on free customizations (which were the product options we created through Bold), and found that we had to edit the prices on both the hidden product variants created through Bold and the prices on the product options. Besides these issues, our experience with Bold has been great. Thanks for the excellent customer service!
Love it. The app does exactly what it says and we use it on most all our products!
Overall the product options App by Bold has been a lifesaver for us. We really needed the mix of pieces that it pulled together. I give it 4 stars only because there is just some slight room for improvement (like removing excess data from product info and ability to hide products from showing or not on checkout - because it impacts abandon cart messages in strange way for us but we have unique needs)...the service is SOLID 5 STARS and tech support goes over and above to keep it working if anything comes up or needs refinement. I've had several superstars (Julian recently) who just get it done right and timely. MUCH appreciated and thanks to the entire team.

Very helpful app, allows me to list hundreds of variants under a single product which I have been looking to do for years now. Finally found something that works. Only thing stopping me from giving full stars is an issue with the invoices containing all options, even non selected ones, I am sure there is a simple fix for this though.
I used this app to set up options on my online store. I love it but i want to be able to have one selection box for three choices and at the moment the app doesnt allow it. My Guru was Cody whom was very he;pful.
Product options is a complicated app. On one hand, it adds a much needed feature to Shopify, and does it in a way that works well. I get the sense that a lot of the frustrations with the app are tied to the fact that Shopify doesn't make it easy to fully integrate into their existing product. If you want to do anything more than just simple options, be prepared to get some help from BOLD. The upside is, Bold is wonderful to work with (Shout out to Alan), really attentive, and helps wherever they can with really quick turnaround times.
It's not perfect, but it's the best option on the app store today.

Pros:
Adds a whole level of functionality that I was surprised to find unsupported natively by Shopify. It does exactly as advertised, and that's a very powerful thing.
Cons:
To me, Premium seems to be the only reason to use this app, and that's hidden behind another 9.99/mo upgrade. It's a pain to get it up and running, but that is more of a Shopify sjhortcoming. Once this app is going, it works. Unfortunately, the logic doesn't seem to allow for one form item to require a second form item.
