I am overall dissatisfied with the app. The fact that it creates a draft order has many downsides that makes it counterintuitive and not useful.
I think these functions are vital and that the app needs these changes ASAP in order to be competitive and useful:
- The app SHOULD NOT block the shipment methods, because at the moment the clients are forced to use only the delivery method defined by the app with is standard shipping. For stores like mine, where I have multiple shipping methods my clients can chose from this is a huge downside- the app should only make the shipping free, whatever that shipping is, not force a basic standard shipping defined by the bar app. Because of this issue I can not include a free shipping step on the bar
- The app makes the DISCOUNT TAB DISSAPEAR, the clients can no longer see it and introduce discount codes - thats a huge downside, because I want my clients to be able to associate the gifts with whatever discount code they have (I also have a loyalty app based on discount codes, so this app is a huge impediment)
- The design is a bit weird - you have a small character limit to name the gifts and the font is very small, especially on mobile. It would be useful to change the font size and the character limit.
Thank you for your message. We are very saddened to see your dissatisfaction with the APP. We are genuinely working on upgrading it. Before addressing your main concerns with the app, I would like to kindly ask you to reconsider your feedback. We understand that you don’t like the function of this APP, but the APP is specifically designated to work as a progress bar for BOGO offers. We would love it if you could review it fairly, noting that some functions did not work for your store specifically because this kind of APP does not have them, but if you need the app as a BOGO progress bar, which in fact it is, the app works perfectly fine. It would really help us, as the APP indeed works completely fine for what it was developed for, a progress bar. Also, your review would be the first one, and we’d like it if you could change it or remove it. As it seems as if you need an APP for discounts, but our APP is for gifts.
As for your concerns. Our Tech Support Team has come up with the following answers:
1. Our app uses a Draft order to give customers custom discounts, gifts, and free shipping. Without using a draft order, you can’t just give a 100% discount on a product, a 10 percent discount, and free shipping all within 1 order. So this APP is designed for draft orders only, not discounts. We understand it is not as convenient, but almost all APPs work on draft orders, and we cannot change it.
2. The application is designed for the standard functionality of the Shopify store. We, as developers, cannot know what additional functionality will be in our client’s store. From our side, we made sure that the delivery method can be configured at checkout stage 2, even if our application provided free delivery.
3. “The application makes the DISCOUNT TAB DISAPPEARING” - indeed, this is because if the buyer received at least one bonus from our application, we create a draft order in which all gifts and discounts will already be included. Shopify does not allow you to apply a discount code to a draft order, so it hides the discount field on the first checkout step.
4. As for the design, sometimes the names of gifts can overlap due to the small screen size and long names, so we developed this design.
Please note that we develop our APPs for Shopify specifically and we are very limited by their rules. Our APP works just as it should for a Progress Bar BOGO APP, and we would highly appreciate it if you could review it as a progress bar APP, not as something it isn’t. Please let me know if there is anything I can do, so that e can work this situation out. Thank you.
