I am giving 12/10 for my experience with Francis in customer support. He delt with a disastrous app upgrade that developers PUSHED. I have never experienced such a bad roll out. NO WARNING. IMPOSING NEW GLS!. Not working fully, causing paralysis, nothing could sync. It was pretty impressive how bad they got it. I hope they learn and take the feedback and design something better. They cost us money & lost trust in their product. I don't want to hear a "we are sorry to hear this feedback" That just feels patronising.. Honesty would be refreshing. like..."We Messed Up"
Nick was very helpful with resolving a sync issue I had between Shopify POS orders and Quickbooks. He helped me figure out what was missing to sync the orders as well as how to prevent it in the future.
I spent the entire day in support with Angel, who truly lives up to the name. They persevered and were able to piece together a workaround that let me return to the legacy version, which I really appreciate.
Unfortunately, the reason I needed help at all is that what was once a great app has taken a serious step backwards after the forced update.
Please, if you haven’t updated yet, I strongly suggest holding off until these issues are resolved.

I'm a bookkeeper with 4 of my clients using Shopify and more coming. For those having issues with the new connector, I hope you can work you way through the new process, I spoke to two customer service agents today. WEN was helpful and had a good attitude.
New Connector issues: I actually like the new connector, the old one had other issues that were very frustrating and time consuming, we used the 'payout only' option, but the sales were either input with "HST EXEMPT (Purchases)" or "Out of Scope", so we couldn't use the QuickBooks Sales Tax screen properly. We took our time to change all those Sales back to "HST EXEMPT (Sales)", because our clients usually had two to 5 avenues of income and we needed to see the total sales. Then we simply input a journal entry for the sales tax from shopify (the connector did not bring over the taxes).
So, with the new connector, we choose to bring in all sales, turned off product tracking because that information is in Shopify anyways if needed, and then each sale is imported as a sales receipt to Undeposited Funds, matched to each payout to the bank. It can be very quick to verify that all the sales receipts and payouts match, and the whole process is a lot smoother for us.
The hiccup I had today - One of our clients with 4000+ product/service items had nearly 200 products as 'inventory' instead of 'non-inventory', which I did not notice at first. This is where we turned off product tracking, deleted all those sales receipts and payouts, and requested re-sync. The first person I spoke with seemed to believe I was talking about the old connector, or didn't seem to understand the question - I honestly didn't look at the inventory items and neither did they. I spent nearly 2 hours on chat between the two, and although it will take another 3-4 hours for the sync to actually come through, I can say I feel confident with Saasant's syncing capability. We've used the saasant tool Saasant Transactions to move clients between QuickBooks accounts a few times now.
I had a great experience with Jasmin from the QBO Connector support team. She was extremely helpful in assisting me with integrating Shopify and QuickBooks Online.
Jasmin guided me step by step, explained everything clearly, and made sure the integration was set up correctly without any confusion. Her support saved me a lot of time and stress.
Highly professional, responsive, and knowledgeable — I truly appreciate her help. Thank you, Jasmin!
Nick was incredibly helpful and efficient in resolving our Shopify–QuickBooks sync issue with multicurrency. He took the time to understand the problem, explained things clearly, and ensured everything was working correctly before closing the case. Great support experience—thank you, Nick!
Totally broken. Right now I am getting detailed transactions and can't switch to summary sync. Essentially this spams our quickbooks with every sale rather than sales for the day/week etc. I reached out to Intuit for help and their support people had no idea how to help. I've emailed their support team as well with no responses.

Jebran was helpful. Unfortunately, it was identified as a new issue and it has been escalated to development team. Initial sync and connection was good but the app requested a resync, and I can't change the settings. Still syncing though.
Jebran was very helpful and patient, but the issue is with the new version of the app which is missing significant features from the old version. This means Connector is of no value to me as it will not create Sales Receipts in QuickBooks and gives no warning or ability to initiate a re-sync. They should not have forced users to migrate to the new app until it at least replicated the functionality of the old app, hence the 1 star review, no reflection on the agent Jebran.
Hi there, thank you for your feedback. Our engineers are working on fixing the issue you have reported and your email continues to be flagged to be notified as soon as we have an update. If any other questions, please reach out to qbo-integrationsupport@intuit.com.
After the initial review below things have taken a turn for the worse, no fault of the support team, but the developers. Hence the 5 star review has been reduced to 1.
Firstly, there is the import doubling up the VAT and changing items from inclusive of VAT (20%) to exclusive after a transaction is reviewed making each transaction 20% higher than actual.
Secondly, transactions that have a postage charge cannot be reviewed and added to Quickbooks as they give an invalid tax error which cannot be changed as the tax for postage is not able to be changed at this point.
Free isn't the best option so I've not changed to a paid integration (current trial) and as it's early in the financial year may move away from QuickBooks completely.
--- original review which was 5 stars ---
You really can't ask for better help than from Jasmin. She helped escalate a small issue with some of the imported Shopify orders to get this resolved. I recently moved from another accounting package that didn't connect to Shopify directly and am so glad I did. The import is so much cleaner and doesn't need anything doing to it unlike the previous package. Perfect experience so far.
