They offer a lot of ala cart options. I use the announcement bar. I like that people can see what the special is when they enter the site. I use the free version. IT works for me.

I'm a big fan of all Hextom apps, I once asked my developer to script in some banners for one off promotions, it was too tricky to use and the design was very clunky, really pleased to have found QAB after that, perfect for flash sales, promo-codes etc. Thank you! If you haven't got BPE (Bulk Product Edit) get it! it will save you hours of work!
