This app is HOT GARBAGE, and no one wants to take responsibility for it.
It intermittently fails to receive sales data AND records duplicate data. We even changed the cadence at which Shopify sends payouts to our bank account from daily to weekly so that it would be easier to spot errors. That helped – read: the fewer opportunities for it to fail, the fewer times it failed! – but the tool is supposed to help me, not the other way around.
In early July, it stopped recording new sales data altogether. It's now been three weeks since we've received any new data. Now we have to spin up a manual recording process. TRASH
Very unreliable. does not transfer all payout data from Shopify to QB, meaning you have to figure out which ones were missed and enter them in manually. Quickbooks support is worthless, they told me i have to contact Shopify. The app is made by Intuit, it is their app, but they refuse to support it. The support person I talked to knew less than when i search help in Quickbooks myself. There supposedly is a feature in Admin to sync data, but they do not give that access to users. You have to be an "expert" or QB support to use it, but support didn't even know about it. Quickbooks overall has extremely poor support for all issues.
DON'T USE THIS APP. No one supports it. Intuit says call Shopify and I haven't done that because others said they don't support it either. I just decided to stop importing payout transactions. When I contacted Intuit, they said I disconnected it in March. It is now July and it stopped working 8 days ago. Everything seems like it is connected so I uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn't fix it. Going to try and find a new solution instead of wasting more time on this.
Thank you for providing the feedback. We will reach out directly, the app is supported by Intuit and we apologize you were misinformed while contacting support, please continue to contact QuickBooks support for help and we will work on our routing to ensure you reach the dedicated team supporting our integrations.
We will be reaching out directly to ensure payouts are imported and everything is working correctly.
No support and they blame one another, better off doing manual entires, save yourself time and money, not worth it. QB used to be good, not anymore
I stopped receiving payouts to review in the For Review tab. I contacted both Shopify and Quickbooks Support and both say that they do not support third party apps/integrations! They both told me to refer to the other company for support. Most disappointing.
I do not know what I can do on my end to resolve this matter.
some transactions stopped syncing
This app syncs your Shopify sales into QBO as Sales Orders, not Sales Receipts. This means that they do not show up in financial reports such as sales reports or on your P&L. They simply are record but have no financial impact on your QBO books.
There are instructions to set up the sync so that they come in as Sales Receipts but there is no option when doing the set up.
Thank you for providing the feedback. We have two ways to sync data, either Sales Order to Invoices if you want to track individual orders with inventory OR import by Payout as an aggregate Sales Receipt. As Sales Orders are non-posting financial transactions if you selected to track inventory you may need to map Shopify items otherwise the Invoices won't be created yet, go here to view products pending to be mapped https://qbo.intuit.com/app/product-matching
Please find the support article explaining the options https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/accounting-bookkeeping/compare-quickbooks-commerce-accounting-e-commerce/L25qgfRVh_US_en_US?uid=me0lip5n
Not Working Properly! Not updating all of our sales data.
It stated my app was installed by the previous owner, which is not the case. Not sure how to put the app on the Shopify Admin sight. It's truly unclear.
Quickbooks does one thing. Accounting, and it can't even get that right with this app. I don't mind that it brings everything over in one deposit and records the Sales, refunds, discounts and shipping as one lump for all sales. The problem I have is with how it handles sales tax. We collect and remit sales tax in two states. We use Shopify tax and it works fine for us. The problem is QB brings it over as a line item. It doesn't separate the different states, counties or city taxes. It brings everything over as one line item of tax. Sure, I can make a manual adjustment to the states sales tax, but that defeats the point of using an app to bring over transactions, and now I run the risk of tax being recorded twice. I can't zero out the tax because now the deposit amount won't match.
I called Quickbooks and was told they are aware of it and they are looking into it. The agent told me it's been a couple of months or so. I'm not holding my breath for it to be resolved anytime soon...
