The app subscription tools does not work for the safari browser or the instagram browser which make it too useful for mobile heavy traffic. The Subscription tool is supposed to detect the customers facebook login so they can easily subscribe, but instead it asks them to enter their username and password on a separate page which of course hurts conversion a lot.

So, it quickly becomes apparent that the impressive stats that Recart claim on all their promotions about how they increase sales, are a little tenuous. They count anyone that signs up for a discount code then purchases as a conversion enabled by them - as if the customer wouldn't have purchased otherwise. But in reality all they are doing is pestering customers with tacky discount codes - customers that would have purchased in any case.
Real value comes in attracting back abandoned checkouts, and unfortunately it appears that Recart are much less successful at achieving this than they would have you believe.
Since installing Recart I have actually seen a reduction in sales, which I attribute to the popup 'conversation starter' which just feels dropship-spammy, and subsequent Messenger hassling. I don't think I'll be using Recart again. The biggest con is all those conversions in their marketing copy they claim to have 'unlocked' for users of Recart, which are really just sales that would have occurred in any case. Very cheeky.

niffty, but needs some work on making captured emails and customer data integrate to the shopify native dashboard and customer info data base. has a few errors with cookie functionality issues, but otherwise it does make a pop up captures customer data and try to retrieve that sale. cart link functionality has a cookie issue with not actually repopulating the customer's saved cart, but simply leading them to a check out page, wherein that cart is lost if the customer tries to edit it. otherwise its neat and makes pretty great abandoned cart recapture emails.
You can use them to get your products market price all wrong without any permissions. I tried this app, but it just added a discount code open to public without any pre-talk or try to get any permissions from us, which caused us much more headaches than we don't have them.

This could be a very good app. Unfortunately it is unable to capture past abandoned carts.
Plust it's real benefits only appear once you have high number of visitors to your store.
I will un-install for now. In the future once I have high number of visitors I might re-install this app and give it 4 or 5 stars.
I'm having trouble utilizing this app. It says we have 90 days to try it free, with an initial 15 day trial period, but I'm constantly prompted to pay $300 before I even gain access to the app? I'll write a different review when I get help fixing this problem.

Actually, based on our experience, we’ve found that Messenger Campaigns will always have much higher conversion rates than any other campaigns. For that reason we’ll now be focusing most of our resources on it’s stability and on developing several new tools for the Messenger Platform.
