Referral Candy was recommended to me by a trusted friend who works for a multi-$million wine company that uses it with great success. I just started an account today, but so far I’m 5-star pleased with the customer support (live chat). Jessa was very prompt and helpful in advising us on our very particular, not-so-straightforward needs. As I begin to set things up, the platform is proving to be streamlined and intuitive. Happy with their resources as well: the "How It Works" video is very helpful. So far, so good! Looking forward to launching our first referral campaign.

Dowloaded the app to my shopify store and within minutes I had JC (one of the customer service reps) send me a message to see if I needed help with anything. I said no thanks however he asked if I wanted to go through the setup process now, which I was actually going to procrastinate and put off! I decided to give it a crack because JC seemed keen to assist and with his help, I was able to get my first rewards/referral program setup within 20 minutes. Thanks so much for all your help JC, you're a legend mate!

Katherine with support is awesome! She was super helpful, as the app itself is not very intuitive to set up. But we'll see how it goes once it's activated!

So far so good! Tippy has been great helping me set up the Referral App. Very easy setting it up and so far I like what I see! Looking forward to seeing the results from using Referral Candy!

It says if we need help we ask help from their expert, but where the hXll is your expert? They never reply your message and only an automation robot to speak to you.

This app has great bones, but it leaves a lot to be desired.

PROS:
It is certainly a comprehensive app, with lots of control, lots of options and the setup and walkthrough process is spot on. Really great on that front.

CONS:
After getting the emails setup, getting the app installed and running, I went to examine the "pages" that my customer sees when they are engaging with the referral program. These pages are flat out ugly and it is embarrassing to send my customers to these pages. They honestly feel like an afterthought, like someone just slapped them together and went on their way. I take great care to make the entire experience of my ecommerce site look nice and function nice. To add this on completely destroys that. I stopped using the app for this very reason. I simply cannot send customers to pages that look as awful as these do. They do offer you the ability to fully code and customize the layout of these pages, but for a non-techinical site owner, this is a monumental task that would involve hiring a knowledgable developer to do. Just like Shopify offers nice looking default free themes for their stores, ReferralCandy needs to do the same for these pages. I may return to this app if they fix the layout of these pages, but for now I will be using something different.
