I had initially written a 5 star review after being asked to many times by the (bordering on obsequious) customer support team.
Setup was fine, if rather time consuming.
Once in the testing phase, I noticed a couple of bugs - social media links didn't work on what they call the 'Share Page' and on mobile view , a horizontal scroll bar was visible on the front end - a sign that an element on the page was overflowing (a sign of poor web dev).
It's now been three weeks since raising the issues with support. Neither have been resolved and I was in fact told that to sort the mobile responsiveness issue, I should hire a web developer - TO FIX THEIR OWN POOR WEB DEVELOPMENT!
This left me pretty flabbergasted, to say the least.
I'm not a perfectionist, but we do have high standards and sloppy design like horizontal scroll on mobile and broken social links I'm afraid, fall way short.
Thanks again for writing this awesome review and we're also hoping that our services will generate MORE sales for you!

Unable to toggle on/off! The app does what it says, however, if you wish to de-activate, there is no toggle on/off button. If you wish to cancel your free trial, there is no cancel membership in accounts/billing. There is a big Delete all information button, but it doesn't say if that cancels the membership. Please just add a few simple buttons to allow transparency for users to turn off program or de-activate account.

Just getting started with the app. Reached out for support and Tippy was extremely helpful in getting my campaign to be customer presentable. He went beyond my immediate questions to give my campaign a better look. Was very patient and helpful.
The app is great because you can offer product gift to advocate and not only coupons and the customer service is great ! Thanks Cris for your help !
But I put only 3* because the app cannot work with SEAL subscription and Seal subscription is the only subscription's app working with stripe. (In France we don't have a lot of choice...) I really would love the referral program works with subscription's products... I hope it will change in the future ;-)

We are SO tired of Shopify apps that send emails to our customers without warning us or asking for permission. This is yet another one. And for that reason we won't be using it.
Only one day after signing up to try this app, it's already sent 324 welcome emails to our customers, and never notified us once or asked for our permission before doing so. It's flat out unacceptable. Uninstall.

Thank you for the feedback. Sending emails to your customers with no warning or permission obtained is a bad experience. It is unacceptable and I apologize that our app enabled that to happen.
To make sure this doesn't happen again, we have ensured that ReferralCandy provides ample notification before emails are sent out when the account is activated. - Jaime R.
We couldn't even get through the setup, which should have been the easiest thing to do. The email templates don't work like any WYSIWYG system I've EVER seen, and you're obligated to find an outside developer to do very simple tasks like fix the mandatory social icon links that are in the default template. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired, and since we couldn't get past step 1, I can't review the actual platform performance. With our poor experience, I would NOT recommend this to anyone. There are multiple other options out there, and we've been able to get an alternative all setup and running in less than 10% of the time spent fighting with the ReferralCandy platform.

JC was extremely helpful! Answered all my questions. The app is great I set the entire app up in under 30 minutes and tested it. All the questions I had were immediately answered via their live chat. I highly recommend + customer service is great. App is very clean and it seems like it is marketing-driven VS just an app that doesn't have much marketing drive. I think the developers of the app want you to have viral referral campaigns as it's a win-win compared to other affiliate apps which are not really prioritizing the success of the affiliate program. 5/5 stars

Excellent customer service (Jelson), prompt responses with thorough solutions. Some improvements can be made with the automation of the program such as having an automated notification when the review period for a referral is about to end. This would make it less likely for us to miss any returns made.
