Finally decided to give the app a try today, cool concept however ran into some issues that made it a deal breaker for us.

Did not handle multiple stores very well, almost send a newsletter to the wrong store. Had to call support to clear up and get correct store shown on account. They were helpful.

The main issue is the email template editing, it caused my chrome browser to crash over 5 times. Currently I am unable to save my campaign. I decided to leave the review in hopes these issues will be fixed for other users. Wasted over an hour today trying to build the same template 5 times. This is an hour I won't get back and now need to skip lunch to get this done with another app.

Having tried most major ESP apps, I think Remarkety is one of the best around. Compared to others, Remarkety performs better on its HTML delivery for different email clients (including the dreaded Outlook), it syncs better with Shopify, fetching all the fields you need for language segmentation, and its pricing - all your contacts are synced but you only pay for the contacts that are subscribed to email marketing. Would recommend.

Remarkety feels half baked.

Unhelpful support bar ----> There's a customer support bar down to the right that is always there, but appears to say on workdays and weekends alike that customer support is not available right now. When you send them a customer service response, there is no email indicating it was received or indicating when they will get back to you or when. There is a generic message. They have a generic Zen Desk "page through our catalogue of files yourself" Zen Desk support bot, which is of minimal help and generally annoying to deal with. That's when you turn to Google for help, but Google doesn't seem to care much for Remarkety, so Google searches are not helpful either.

Of particular frustration ---> When attempting to save a campaign, there's an error message that says "You may not send this campaign from a gmail.com address." It makes perfect sense why you can't send from a gmail.com address. Unfortunately, the message does not report to the user "You cannot save this file with a gmail.com address, please change your address to gmail.com." This unfortunately resulted in our team losing quite a bit of work that we thought was being saved. When I pointed that out to customer service, I felt like I was talking to an evangelist on why it was bad to allow anyone to save a file if a gmail address is connected to the file. That was frustrating. I pushed the issue and he said lukewarmly that he would contact the product team about improving the error message. I don't expect that email to the product team to be sent. Other spots in the program, such as the settings page advise against using a Gmail address, but don't instruct that you cannot save or send with a gmail address, they indicate the exact opposite - that you can actually send with a gmail address (which would be a bad practice, but this is an indication of the product being half baked when one page says on thing, the error message says something else, and the zen desk bot, google, and a search of the website have no easily accessible commentary on this topic).

More generally ---> The files and tutorials explaining how to use the product are not very thorough, and don't have great SEO so that I can't find what I need easily on google the way I can with other email marketing programs that are more established. The online tutorials done by third parties are not very expansive, probably because this company is not very established as an email platform. Some email platforms have extensive how to coverage by third parties. This lack of in house explanation and the lack of 3rd party desire to explain the program add a layer of difficulty in using this for anything but the boilerplate sending of boilerplate emails. Over two days of work, my team encountered this problem 10 or 15 times. That's a high number, and makes it hard to use this program. Effectively, this program does not have any easily searchable or easily accessible user manual. So, using remarkety is kind of like the opposite of buying IKEA furniture - it's like buying furniture by mail order in the late 1990s and it comes with instructions for assembly written only in Chinese, and then you frustratingly stumble through the process with half a dozen parts awkwardly left over that you can't make sense of.

Their marketing ---> Some of their marketing to me, an existing customer, doing a 14 day trial run (I'm on my 3rd day of the trial run) are not very sophisticated, and I would like to see more sophistication from an app that exists to teach me how to market better. It's sort of a "do as I say, not as I do approach to marketing."

Inflexible software ---> The software is not very flexible in what it can do. That's been a bit of an annoyance, which feels like it is perhaps not designed with significant user input. That would be okay if it were easier to understand it through guides and tutorials.

They pickup the phone during New Jersey business hours ---> To the benefit of this company, they are reachable at the phone number 800-570-7564, and then pressing 2 gets you to customer service. There wasn't any queue to reach them, there wasn't any prolonged attempt by a computer to have a phone conversation with you. To my discredit I was disheartened over the weekend when I say the customer service is not available message and didn't bother to call. I should have tried to call immediately. Monday morning when I saw the same customer service is not available message, I decided to call. It would have been good to call sooner, it's possible someone would have picked up the phone for me at that number over the weekend. They might have phone support outside of New Jersey business hours. I credit them for the easy phone support. Phone support could smile more. It felt like it was a rough Monday morning and probably raining in New Jersey when the guy picked up the phone. Phone support possibly smiles more on other days.

Conclusion ---> Sort of a Meh experience with Remarkety. It's neither intuitive nor well explained. I need either a good UX or a good manual. One or the other. I think it's time for us to try another platform. I think they need 2-3 more years of work. Not sure if I want to be the beta tester calling them once a week to offer them feedback as I struggle through the half baked software - which is what will inevitably happen if we incorporate this into our business more fully and push the limits some with this software. Using them unfortunately feels like I am working with people who want to make a quick buck selling a startup, or who maybe see their software as a lifestyle product, but it doesn't feel like I'm working with someone who actually wants to deliver a high quality user experience, which is really all I want from marketing software. The software is a free trial, but if we use it across all stores, it will end up being something like $1200 / month that it will cost us. This software is not worth the $1200 per month for this amount of trouble, and ideally with scalable software the 14 day free trial, and the $25 intro rate, and the $1200 rate are all able to provide the same level of robustness to the customer. I'm not seeing it. Blundering through Remarkety with no saved email campaigns at the end of the process was not how I would have liked to see anyone on my team spend their weekend.

It says there's a free 14 days trial period. Be careful that's a lie. it's free only if your campaign has less than 100 emails.

Overall, I think the app is good and easy to use. However, there are some default settings for whether marketing is allowed/not for email subscribers that I don't find to be useful and confusing. However, Remarkety's support team was extremely helpful in addressing my issues. They always replied within 24 hours and went above and beyond to provide me a solution. Excellent support!

We have been using your plugin in our ecommerce store and so far we have had a good experience with it. Your plugin has been a great help for us to overcome some of the limitations that we had in our store - thanks for that! Having the ability to send targeted marketing emails using your friendly editor has been a great help. The app is rich in features too, must have for startup ecommerce stores.

We supply free fabric samples so this is great to automate follow up emails if a potential customer is yet to place an order after ordering their samples. Works well so far...

We switched over to Remarkety about three months ago, to better sync with our Shopify website. We've been very happy with the results. Their dashboard is easy to read and understand, while you still have the ability to dig in more if you need. Their customer service is easy to work with, and the platform is easy to figure out. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a bolt on system for their Shopify site.

Really useful app. Takes the strain out of sending out campaigns. Took a while to get the hang of it properly, but the support is top notch and explains everything clearly. Has helped our business generate income, which at end of the day is what it is all about.

I've been using Remarkety for the last couple of months and I couldn't be happier with the results. The customer support is nothing short of AMAZING. I'm not a "techie" by any means but support will literally hold your hand through any issues you might have. I highly recommend Remarkety if your looking to ramp up revenue for your ecom business.

Best app I have that I pay for. It would have been hard to understand had the cs not been so great. They jumped in and set up some things for me that were fantastic. Got me to understand what to do from the inside out. All I can say is that I have made more money using this app than any other one. I use it daily. It keeps me aware of what's going on and makes me manage my store better too. It gave me insights on how my customers think. Over the months using it I only get better. Only wish I would have started using it sooner. I only had one idea to make things better and they are going to be implementing it soon. Can't say enough good things. I would for sure use the free version and test the heck out of it and see what it can do for you. If you don't think it's valuable ask them to show you some campaigns and get you set up. I can't think of any reason why this wouldn't be in everyone's tool kit. simply amazing. plus they are super nice and reply like immediately :)

This is a fantastic app to meet many different conditions you will need to send to your customers. The interface is easy to follow. It set ups quickly and easily in your store. Customer support is impeccable. A must have for any store.

I have been super impressed with the app. This app has given me more in return than what I pay for it...many times over.
I was looking for a simple app to do some basic autoresponder type emails to my shopify clients. I found remarkety to be not only simple, but also very powerful. I was able to create some basic emails in just a few minutes and after using it for more than 2 weeks, it has already paid for itself.
This is true hidden gem. A must have for all ecommerce stores.

We've been using this program for about a month now and it's already helped generate over $18,000 in sales from simple email triggers. This app is awesome!
We only have a couple of triggers actually set up so it will be interesting to see what results we can achieve with all the recommended campaigns up and running.
Support is awesome, they get back straight away and show a genuine interest in helping to grow your business. They are very open to new ideas that I have approached the support team with. They had the ideas passed onto the dev department straight away and already looking to implement new features that we have requested to help drive more sales. Highly recommend!

Remarkety is a great way to manage all you promotional email (excl. newsletters) in one place. The setup is easy and quick, the interface is intuitive, the default templates are exactly what every business might need and the support is responsive. Great work guys!

We have been using Shopify for a little over 2 months for our abandoned cart campaign. That one campaign has generated close to $14K in sales in that period. The support has been brilliant and we would definitely recommend this app to anyone looking for an easy to implement automated solution.

I ditched MailChimp because it was too expensive and I had to do the work all by myself. With Remarkety, I just have to set it up ONCE and let it all go on autopilot. It's a no brainer app to install and worth paying for. You can keep track of the revenue generated from Remarkety and see if it works for you as much as it worked for us on www.zqoutlet.com !

We've been using the Remarkety app for a while now. We had tried many other Shopify based mailing apps that were way more expensive and had less features.

Remarkety is great because it gives you a set of structured templates to start from so that you can get that revenue coming in as soon as possible. Particularly recommended for those just starting a Shopify site.

I used Remarkety in my Magento store and over the course of a year generated over $43k of sales that we otherwise wouldn't have seen. We switched to Shopify and added Remarkety about five weeks ago. So far, we've recaptured $2,743 in sales we'd otherwise would have likely lost. Highly rated support, simple install, easy form letters, and in 30 minutes it's fire and forget. Awesome app!

Amazing App.
Great and easy to set up.
You only need to relax and the app will do the hard work automatically.

Only suggestion would be to offer a more affordable monthly fees or a one time Fee.

This is app is excellent and highly recommended. Its great for abandon-cart recovery, customer retention, rewards program and more that we're probably still discovering. And thank you for the developmental program to allow smaller stores an opportunity to be able to use the app in order to grow.

This is a great App. Who doesn't want to awaken their inactive customers or nicely prod those who have registered but not yet bought. And having looked at the abandoned cart functionality I have abandoned all other related Apps. Remarkety does it all and with great customer service too. Highly recommended.
