need to be able to add compare price on label
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! I understand for some, displaying the compare at price is important. Labels have very limited space and typically customers are more interested in verifying size, etc. I will pass on your suggestion to our developers, though, as they are always interested in merchant feedback.
You shouldn't have to go through 4 to 5 steps just to print 1 price label. Additionally, it's very aggravating when Shopify makes changes without notifying their customers. One day the app is working, the next it's been changed creating havoc and loss income to retailers.
Hello! Thank you for leaving a review and sharing your feedback, it's greatly appreciated. I recommend reading over our help document (https://shopify.link/JeKo) for different steps to print a label, including from the product page and within the app. You can check out the Changelog (https://shopify.link/Y7dL) for platform updates, and I'd be happy to pass along your feedback about wanting to receive notifications when updates are made. Thank you again! - Greta, Shopify Support
Despite everything else working perfectly, the price of the product does not display in any format on the barcode labels. Could you please help me.
Hi, there! Thank you for leaving a review. The application only supports currencies for Shopify-supported languages (https://shopify.link/xjaB). If you are using a supported currency but the price still isn't appearing on the label, I recommend contacting our live support team (https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA) so we can look into this further. Thanks again! - Greta, Shopify Support
For the most part this app works well enough for our environment. However, today, when we go to print the barcode label, it will not load the image on the print preview page so we can actually print. We have tried it on 2 different laptops running Windows 11 and on our iPad and none will finish loading the print preview page. We cannot print labels at all, though I can print as many test prints as I want. Was there an update to this app?
Thank you for your response Victoria.
I have an open ticket , 38855387,and no resolution from Shopify after spending more than an hour on chat with a team member. And there has been NO response from Shopify since Wednesday, May 31.
Through my own repeated troubleshooting and persistence, Friday I was able to get labels to print. With no help from Shopify.
I think Shopify needs to quit reducing staff and actually train the people working for them to know the product they are supporting. Whenever I have contacted Shopify for support, they direct me to help files that I have already read or they contact some other team for resolution. This leads to lengthy waits for the customer. As a former IT Application Support Analyst, this would have been unacceptable to my employer. As a customer of Shopify, I find this unacceptable.
Hi, there. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I understand you're facing difficulties on your end and are unable to print labels at all. To further investigate and troubleshoot this, I recommend creating a support request via the Shopify Help Center so our team can take a look: https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA. - Victoria, Shopify Support.
The app is not bad but there's a big bug, this app defaults to using the wrong side of my Dymo printer, I try to change but print always upright on horizontal labels! Please help me because I need to print a lot of labels asap
Thanks

Not compatible with Google and not recognised by https://www.barcodelookup.com/ making products unable to sync with Google!!
Hey, there. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review for our app. Just to clarify, Retail Barcode Labels is built for the Shopify Platform, and was not built as an integration tool with it's labels for third party platforms. Google may use it's own labels and codes, like GTINs, for example, which they have already determined and you can attach to your products via the Google Sales Channel and your Google Merchant Center Account. I'm happy to pass your feedback regarding having the labels generated by Shopify's app integrate with other platforms. I can't say what the result of your feedback may be, but you can rest assured that the feedback has been passed along. -Imogen, Shopify Support
Looks useful but I want to add the name of the product to my barcodes and the app does not support Greek characters. Therefore I can't use it for my store.
Hi there, Anime Portal Store. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review for Retail Barcode Labels. We appreciate your review here regarding the limitations of what characters are supported with labels. I've gone ahead and made the Product Team aware of your feedback regarding this limitation. I can't say what the result of the feedback will be, but the Team is aware of the request and may consider adding additional character support in a future update. -Imogen, Shopify Support
This app is free and yet somehow still I'm disappointed. It is restricted to a limited range of labels from 3 specific brands of labels with specific brands/models of printers. (conveniently printers you can buy from the Shopify store.) You'd think this thing would be highly optimized for said printers, but I've had so many issues. For example, just today I had the labels just randomly start printing sideways. Like, between print-jobs using the same template, minutes apart. Shopify has a bad habit of creating apps and then never supporting or improving them, and sadly this is one of them.
Update: 01/11/2023.
No noticeable updates, but through some tinkering, I've been able to get it to work and it does print labels, so I'm upgrading it from 1 to 2 stars. However, another noticeable issue is the clunkiness in regards to bulk controls. You can't, for example, filter your search to a product category and select all, and you can't copy past a quantity down a row like you can if you were bulk editing something in Shopify. This is being mentioned because I recently needed to print one of each label, for the purpose of sticking on bins (a pretty fair use-case) and that involved me individually searching each item and then individually setting the quantity to 1. Very very very tedious, and if you have a warehouse full of SKU's, you're in for a bad time.
I appreciate Imogen's response, and I genuinely hope to see this app improve, but it really does feel like it's being neglected.
Hi there, Sanshee. Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We're sorry to hear that Retail Barcodes hasn't been performing to the standard that you expect from us. We take feedback such as this very seriously, as it helps us improve our product offerings into something folks can enjoy using. Our Product Team is aware of requests for further supported label types and printers, and I'll make sure they see your review here for further proof of the value such features would bring. If you do encounter issues such as the labels changing orientation in the future, please reach out to our Live Team (https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA) so they can document the issue, and assist with troubleshooting. -Imogen, Shopify Support
For a long time all went fine with our barcodes. now suddenly it makes duplicates of barcodes for diffrent products, even the products have diffrent SKUs!! even we have only about 4000 diffrent variants-barcodes.... It is a huge mess for us, as we are traped in this App. All our products are in store POS an are labeld with barcode labels!! i hope to get an answer from the developers to help me solve this problem! Please contact us! It's a worst case scenario!
Thank you for writing your review and letting us know that you've had this issue, and I can appreciate the frustration in having to deal with the problem of duplicate barcodes for your products being assigned to incorrect variants.
If you believe the app is not behaving as it should, I'd recommend contacting our support team directly so we can authenticate you on your store and troubleshoot this issue further: https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA.
I wish you could add pre-existing barcodes from our vendors with the Shopify app. Need to allow up to 9 number barcode.
Thank you for taking the time and sharing this feedback with us. While there isn't a way to import barcodes at this time, you can create barcodes up to 39-digits. However, this will depend on the type of labels you're using, so please refer to our list of supported label sizes (https://bit.ly/3durQDU).
That being said, we understand that importing barcodes from the vendors can be beneficial for our merchants, like yourself, and we'd be more than happy to pass this feedback along to our development team as a feature request for future considerations.
On the other hand, if importing barcodes is something that you absolutely need right now, then we'd encourage using StockSavvy Barcode Scanning (https://bit.ly/3SYLBUy) for the time being. Cheers! -Elias, Shopify Support
