Script Editor

Great app that allows us to have both our wholesale and retail customers on the one store front!

This is a super powerful tool! It allows you access to features otherwise inaccessible in Shopify. For those who are complaining you can only run 1 script at a time - you can create multiple "campaigns" within a script. Each campaign is basically a totally different script so you can accomplish different things at once. There is a character limiter on the script editor so you can't have a million scripts running at once, but it's reasonably high + you can use a minifier to reduce the size of your code.

The reality is that the script is a rip off for what is being paid. The cost of shopify plus is $1200 a month and the script is very limited. Someone mentioned you can run "multiple" campaigns but your character limit is 24,000. That's a little for a store with several products. This review is already 300 characters. Also the documentation and availability to answers is almost non existent. They promise you a "specialist" who basically looks at the documentation online that recommends posting on the forum or hiring an expert.

I did a test and it worked perfect. We are trying to avoid scripts but see the value as we scale up and have more complex needs for shipping, pricing and discounts.

Very good App and can help a lot in your store but there is a bug: you can only run 1 script at a time and that is really really bad...

I have a lot of script running at a time because I built them...

Simply amazing! One word of warning... we can have very large cart sizes so be cautious and develop your scripts with this in mind or you may find they exceed the CPU limit and will cause exceptions.

If you uninstall the app without deleting the scripts first, the discounts will still be applied as if you have done nothing and reinstalling the app won't help you. Enjoy trying another bulk/custom pricing app and watching the discounts duplicate.
Now I get to spend some quality time with support figuring out what went wrong.

It has potential. But, this should come out of the box for shopify plus users.
You have to hire a developer to create something for you.
Also, it's limited to 1 script at the time.
Shopify should really work on the Discount Options and Shipping options on their back end so users don't have to spend more money to hire developers. Specially because their Plus plan prices are going up.

They do not even bother to answer questions. Expecting more from Shopify, when you see what you pay !

I don't get all the bad reviews. This thing is *powerful* - but you need a basic grasp of programming if you want to get serious and combine multiple scripts. This alone is worth the upgrade to Shopify Plus. We've solved a bunch of stacked discounting and item purchase limits we could just never do (or had to hack with inefficient Javascript) - all of which are going to greatly affect our conversion rate. Sky's the limit and looking forward to exploring a little more. Love it.
