Had to move from previous subs as they hiked their prices astronomically. Seal has been good so far (only a few months in).
My contact with support has been quick and smooth so far, but queries weren't for anything major. Migrating subs was a major pain but Seal were helpful.
Note to anyone moving from an old subs that used stripe as payment method you have to specifically add STRIPE as a payment service to shopify to migrate those subs with Seal (and probably others). But shopify already uses stripe no? I hear you ask... apparently not as much as you'd think. Once we sorted that it's been smooth ever since.
Honestly I hope this message reaches someone that needs it... we spent weeks with shopify and seal support trying to work it out and it was dark time. ;)
Try Seal, they're pretty good, and cost effective for small businesses.
The support in an issue I had was great! I just emailed them and got my answer within a day including prompt response to my follow up questions! :-)
In a nutshell.....easy to use, install and edit.
Getting nearly perfect. Great support and app but 2 warnings:
1. product text on your subscriptions does not update when you update your store products. If you have a spelling error or clarify a product description, your subscription test does not update. Needs to be a toggle/option to push this to subscriptions.
2. Not yet possible to offer the same product as auto-pay or invoice (featured is planned in future). You must create the product 2x in your store which is confusing to customers and messy for inventory management. Other apps offer the customer to choose between these options, we get many customer complaints about this feature missing.
I own a haircare company and adding Subscriptions is to increase my sales and grow my recurring clientele. Seal Subscriptions made it super easy to set up and extremely functional!
Works as described, few glitches during first set up, but with their help we managed to make it work.
This is a great app, and the customer service is phenomenal. Their simple platform has allowed my business to get off the ground. Because of their free model, it's given me time to grow, and I will be sticking with them for the paid model when I need more functionality.
The UX is not always intuitive, and the support documentation is limited. Once they build that out, this app will be unstoppable.

We use this app to help us do monthly membership fees for several groups that we run. It has been really flexible, allowing us to set up variants and charge separately for each one. It would be helpful if they had more help documentation but with a little experimentation, we've been able to figure out most everything we wanted to accomplish.

We are working on adding more video tutorials and documentation to the app, so that it will be easier to figure things out :)
This app is amazing, helping our business to streamline all the work. The only downside is that a customer cannot adjust the choses products, which gives us a hassle of cancelling and creating a new subscription. It would be great to have an update on this.
Thank you for your review. We do have a feature, which allows customers to edit, remove and add products to their existing subscriptions. You just have to turn it on in Seal Subscriptions > Settings > General Settings > Customer portal > Product editing.
