It stopped working and I cannot add anymore related products
Sorry to hear you're having issues. If you haven't already, you can reach out to Shopify Support with more details about the specifics of the problem. Some general troubleshooting notes: Shopify will show a maximum of 10 related products on the online store, so the Search & Discovery app doesn't set more than 10 related items per product. If your theme is showing less than 10, then there may be a theme setting to increase this limit. If not, we recommend contacting the theme's developer.
There's no ability to sort the products whatsoever, makes using the app incredibly difficult. I can't cross reference against my product list to ensure all products have been audited, which is a major fail. In fact, when I look in the app, there are only 66 products showing - yet I have 89 active products. I have no easy way of seeing which products aren't showing in the app (- and why aren't they showing anyway?)
Thank you for your feedback. We released an update this week that should help you. You can now view your entire product catalog and use the search, filter, and sort features–within the index table–to narrow down which products you want to edit.
because it also take part in much sale
It is free ok but not useful, you cannot add anything to the filter menu. Actually it is not hard to fix it maybe in the future.
Thanks for your feedback, you can add custom filters using metafields. See this help center page for more details on editing filters: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/search-and-discovery/filters#edit-filters
Can you please explain why the two easiest ways to edit product information in bulk (or how to find it) is through collections and Product category, yet this app doesn't include those in your filter?
The search bar is working for me so I will give you two stars however the filter really needs to either incorporate collections or product category (not product type) as these two options are the easiest for the website builder to manipulate the products to suit the filtering system
Thank you for your your review and feedback about using collection or product category as a filter type. This feedback has been shared with the team. In the meantime, you could achieve something similar to collection/category filtering by creating filters based on product metafields. This would would give you more control over what filter values your customers see since merchants are not able to rename product category values, and you may not want all collection names to be customer-facing. Documentation on metafield filters: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/search-and-discovery/filters#add-metafield-fitlers
It's okay. Unlike other filter apps, you cannot create drop down tabs (like acordian style) therefore the filters run all the way down the left hand side of the page thus making my collection pages look messy and I wanted a clean design. But works okay.
Thanks for reaching out. The display of filters is determined by your theme’s design, while the app customizes what filters to use. You can install and preview different themes to see if there’s a theme design that better suits your needs, or contact your theme’s Developer to see if they can modify the presentation on your store.
Not used new to it
It is stupid that the filter is not translated and also it can not filter tag which is the most important thing.
Hi, thank you for your feedback. Tag filtering is now available. For more advanced filtering capabilities, we recommend to use metafields.
Update: I'm happy to share that the product team just launched filter translation support. More details here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/search-and-discovery/filters#filter-translations.
limited features, doesn't work well with colors...
You would think that a "Shopify Search & Discovery" app would actually let you add a search text box to use for filtering! :(
The app is able to change the native search behaviours of Shopify, but that does require your Online Store theme to use features. We recommend you contact your theme developer about implementing a search text box that uses the Predictive search and filtering capabilities from Shopify, or checking if they are already available in a more recent version of your theme. All Online Store 2.0 themes from our Theme Store have adopted these features, so you can preview them there.
