I used this app in the past and in the middle of a very high time, my contacts and emails were frozen. We could not do any marketing for a while for an "investigation" to finish. Later it would literally be black friday weekend and our email service was frozen again for yet another "investigation" and no one answered us throughout the whole holiday weekend and even after cyber Monday. They do not care about your success and this is really the worst CS experience Ive seen.

Customizable workflows, automation, simple intuitive interface, GDPR compliance. Of course, it takes time to figure this out. But Sendinblue has detailed text help and has video explanations. And if you run into difficulties, the support works well. I have had a positive experience with Sendinblue.

We are so happy we switched over to Sendinblue, so far we're very impressed with it. Their pricing is reasonable since it's based on emails sent and not on number of contacts. We also started using their automation tools to send a welcome email to our new subscribers. We put together our first automation in only 10 mins and it works! Thank you Sendinblue team for providing such a fantastic, affordable service.

They want an unrealistic open rate of 10% for the emails, we've been in business for over 10 years and when we imported all our contacts to this service obviously they are going to be thousands of emails, probably from customers that doesn't remember us or that the email is no longer working. They put our very first campaign on pause and suspended the account. They are impossible to work with and wanted us to segment and manually review over 100,000 emails to make sure they are still good, like are you for real? Don't even bother setting up the account, unless you have only 50 contacts only they will cancel your account.

In order to optimize deliverability for all of our customers, and protect your brand reputation as well, we need to take care of our sending infrastructure.

Our recommendation is to remove contacts that you didn't engage with in the past two years and create customer segments on Shopify.

Why? Not every contact in your mailing list is equal. A good start would be to use the following:
1. potential customers (who haven’t made a purchase yet)
2. new customers (just made their first purchase)
3. loyal customers (who have made many purchases)
4. inactive customers (haven’t made any purchases in a while)

You can then export the customer CSV file and import it to Sendinblue. Please use segmentation OR filters to select the unengaged contacts and add them to the blacklist.

This initially looked like a good Mailchimp alternative - I like the pricing model and wish more newsletter providers used it.

Pros: Clean interface, nice reports and the helpdesk exists, is responsive and really works to understand the issue

Cons: all of the embedded forms are buggy within Shopify - some won't even submit while others kinda work but the error checking (like duplicate registration) goes to a blank screen. This was issue #1 with the help desk which was finally identified after a few weeks but put on the backlog with no fix date.

The final straw was the previously undisclosed minimum number of subscribers to be allowed to send a campaign. So despite the pricing model being tiny/new business friendly, their rules aren't and weren't made clear up front. I don't know what other surprises might be lurking.

Switching back to Mailchimp...

How can i setup and enable push notifications. When i'm trying to submit a ticket there is showing "The page you were looking for doesn't exist".

As I understand it, there is an issue submitting the URL in Setup of the push notifications. I have emailed you regarding this issue.

Horrible app. I paid for the services but got an email saying the account will be verified after 24 hours they told us that we can not continue their services as we do not qualify for the verification. after sending all the sceenshorts everything legit after purchasing the plan for a month. they barred our account.

Apologies for any confusion and inconvenience caused. You are fully refunded for the app charges. We always want to provide a stellar experience for our users and we fell short this time.

As Kate explained in the support inquiry we responded to on October 18th, 2021 at Sendinblue we believe that emails have to be expected by the recipients. While we do realize you are not a European brand or selling in Europe, as Sendinblue processes and stores its databases within the European Union, The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other rules concerning the protection of personal data are enforced.

✔️the contact has to check a checkbox to subscribe to your newsletter AND the registration checkbox CAN’T be pre-checked

I know this is not an ideal solution but in order to use our services, the auto-checked box would need to be disabled. https://snipboard.io/BrdINM.jpg

Super simple to set up, my shopify signups are seamlessly transfered to my Sendinblue database. It would be helpful if a data collection popup for my shopify store was included too.
