SendOwl

We've been using SendOwl since transitioning from BigCommerce to Shopify in 2021. This app works well for our workflow and is highly recommended for digital delivery of PDFS. The new pricing regime came as a big surprise, but we were able to come up with a pragmatic solution that works for both SendOwl and us.

SendOwl has helped us securely deliver digital content - a service we have not had the resources to build ourselves. They are quick with customer service and pivoted nicely when shopify deprecated the old checkout process.

UPDATE: I've now been using Sendowl for 12 years. We think it's flawless. But when we do have a problem, support has always gone above and beyond. Couldn't be happier.

From 2013: Hard to know which is better...the app or the support. George is extremely responsive and goes above and beyond. There's a tiny learning curve to the app, but once you've jumped to small hurdle, it's a fabulously easy program to use from our end.

I've gotten feedback from customers and they've also felt it's worked easily for them.

But...today I fell absolutely in love with Digital Delivery because I'd accidentally uploaded the wrong pdf file for a product. A customer clued me in. I went into Digital Delivery, uploaded the correct file...and THEN Digital Delivery automatically asked me if I'd like them to send an email to all customers who'd purchased that particular PDF, sending them a link to the correct file. OMG!! Do you know how much time that saved me? I was soooooooo happy to see that.

Definitely couldn't recommend the program more. Wish i could give it 10 stars!!

UPDATE: Have been using the app for a month now. It works flawlessly. And George continues to offer truly the best, most helpful customer service, ever. Ran into problems when I installed a new app, and George found the problem in no time at all.

Also have to add that I had noooooo idea that my customers were going to love our downloadable products as much as they do. It's made a huge difference in sales. Thanks, SendOwl and George!

I have very much enjoyed using SendOwl. It's been an app that has given me 0 issues. I understand with technology sometimes servers are going to go do for whatever reason, and SendOwl is always incredibly quick to get things working again the few times it has happened over the last 4 years. Very happy with this app, their customer service, and pricing. I will continue to use this app for my website!

We have used SendOwl to deliver our digital products since spring of 2020. Creating and uploading products is a breeze. The ability to create and sell product bundles was a game changer for our business. We have always been impressed by the ease of use on the Shopify platform. Their customer support team has always been a pleasure to deal with and has resolved any issue quickly.

Love the app. We have been using it for three months now to fulfill digital magazine downloads, works like a charm! Support (we only needed it once for a question) was also very quick and helpful.

Hope they will be adding even more features going forward. My personal wishlist is (1) tracking downloads in Shopify and other apps such as Klaviyo (we have some customers who get confused between physical and digital variants, could then send automated mails to customers who have not yet downloaded the product after some days). (2) being able to set the auto-fulfillment flag at product level, instead of the account (we have physical products with an attached digital file where we do not want auto-fulfillment, but also digital-only where we do want auto-fulfillment).

Digital Delivery App is robust and flexible. It lets us, a record label, pair downloads directly to physical products (so customers can buy a t-shirt or CD and immediately receive an MP3 download). It also does this right on the order confirmation page *as well as* a separate email. We can even use it to package a single on a pre-order, and update later with the full album download on release day.

And customer service is extremely timely and friendly.

I'm really happy with this app. After researching about five different digital delivery apps on the Shopify store. I decided on SendOwl because of its security features and ease of use. It was very fast and easy to set up - and, perhaps even more importantly - to customize the digital delivery for my store.

I've been using it to deliver my ebook for a couple of months now, and haven't had a single snafu or customer complaint.

Amazing App and Amazing Support. I Cannot fault either. I was a bit hesitant in the beginning as I moved away from another digital platform but soon found my hesitations unfounded. That was several years ago and we have not looked back.
We offer downloads and streaming of our products. Some of our bundle products have 30+ files contained within them and they are handled without any problem.
We are confident in the delivery systems and Send Owls focus on security, balanced with its functionality. Orders are accessed by customers around the world and we have never had any concerns voiced by our customers. I would say make the most of the free trial period, get to know what is offered before you jump in - it's there for that reason.
Reporting by SO is very useful too, it's easy to use, like much of this app. After years with Send Owl, they have proved reliable and consistent, we have no plans to move away. www.healthyaudiohypnosis.com
