Excellent image compressor, unreliable SEO audit
Perfume store, roughly 12,000 SKUs. I installed this for two things: image compression and a technical SEO audit. The first delivered. The second let me down.
Compression — 5/5. It processed 11,870 images for around 96% savings, roughly 7 GB. I verified the result myself: 1200×1200 images now come in at about 70 KB. Importantly, the files sit on Shopify's own CDN rather than being proxied through the app's servers, so the compression stays put after you cancel. Honest work for the money.
SEO Checker is where it falls down. Two of its headline findings didn't hold up when I re-audited the site with an independent tool.
— "Multiple H1 tags on 3,051 pages": the independent crawl found one. The issue had been fixed long before, and the app was showing a stale picture.
— "Title too short on 2,720 pages": in reality they are too long. The app measures the SEO title field inside Shopify and doesn't account for the theme appending the store name to it. Had I followed its advice, I would have made things worse.
Worth knowing: after uninstalling, a speed-up snippet and the metafield that switches it on stay behind in your theme code. You have to clean that up by hand.
Bottom line: as an image optimizer, a confident 5, recommended. As an SEO advisor, I wouldn't act on its numbers without verifying them elsewhere.

Магазин парфюмерии, около 12 000 товаров. Ставил ради двух вещей: сжатия изображений и технического SEO-аудита. Первое отработало отлично, второе подвело.
Сжатие — 5 из 5. Обработал 11 870 изображений, экономия порядка 96%, около 7 ГБ. Проверил результат вручную: картинки 1200×1200 отдаются в районе 70 КБ. Важно, что файлы лежат на CDN самого Shopify, а не проксируются через сервера приложения, то есть после отмены подписки сжатие никуда не девается. За свои деньги работу сделал честно.
SEO Checker — здесь хуже. Два его главных вывода не подтвердились, когда я перепроверил сайт независимым аудитом.
— «Multiple H1 на 3051 странице»: сторонний краул нашёл одну. Проблема была устранена задолго до этого, модуль показывал устаревшую картину.
— «Title слишком короткий на 2720 страницах»: в реальности они слишком длинные. Модуль меряет поле SEO title внутри Shopify и не видит, что тема дописывает к нему название магазина. Последуй я его рекомендации, сделал бы себе хуже.
Мелочь, о которой стоит знать: после удаления в коде темы остаётся сниппет ускорения и метаполе, которое его включает. Вычищать руками.
Итог: как оптимизатор изображений — уверенная пятёрка, рекомендую. Как SEO-советчик — его цифры без перепроверки я бы не принимал.

Who loves an app who tells you what the heck is going on and how to do it ? I do! Clean interface and very intuitive app. Can't wait until we have it in the budget to get off the free plan. Hopefully you guys can send us a free yr or a couple months to allow the use of this app : D to help us generate compliance, traffic and then sales. Which we know it will, things are already trending upwards.
