Don't often write reviews but feel an obligation to warn other business owners. Shipbob were very good during the sales process but as soon as we started operating they were useless. We are a UK based business and intended to use shipbob to fulfil EU orders (post brexit).
However, despite following shipbob's UK to EU stock transfer process, our shipments were always fraught with crossborder issues. Our stock transfers were always at least 4 weeks late due to incompetency on shipbobs end. It seemed like shipbob had never onboarded a new customer before, crucial information which cost us thousands of pounds was missed and all the problem solving had to be done from our end due to shipbob often not responding to us or couriers.
We used the service for three months and do not recommend for UK businesses looking to oursource their international fulfilment
They overcharged me on 6 packages from USA, to USA, all of them weighed less then 5lbs and dimensions small, they overcharged by 550$!!!!!! If my store would have been live and i had 100 orders that they they would have ACH charged me probably over 10k without me being able to do anything about it.
And thats not the worst of it, that was for 2 days guaranteed shipbob express delivery, arrived 8-10 days later.
This was resolved 14 days later, and money credited to my shipbob account.
Not only that but they claim the reason for it was that the dimensions of my products were wrong, well i have an email sent from me 2 weeks before telling them to fix the dimensions of some smaller products, and they said thanks we will fix it, confimed it, but apparently never did.
Why is that ? Because 99% of theire customer service is sitting in a call center in INDIA, and they cant help with jack, they just forward internally, and then you will get another message from a USA based agent that takes theire sweet time because they probably manage like a gazillion accounts.
Not only that i have no gone over to a different 3PL, moved everything delayed my launch lost thousands of dollars due to ShipBob and they have the audacity to charge me a PICK FEE of 1100+$ for shipping out my little invetory i had in there that they charged 360$ for shipping btw and they charged me PICK fee for individual SKUs when i allready had my SKUs boxed up and separated all they needed to do was slap on labels.
I was in here reading reviews before i chose shipbob and i was convinced they were good, so im hoping this post can act as a warning for others like me. I chose to go with Fulfyld instead. DYOR.
Not to happy with their most recent interface change over as it's very confusing to understand and keep your inventory organized. They should have though this through and tested it a bit more before implementing.
I worked with several fulfilment centers in my career and never had a worse experience than with ShipBob. Our company kept receiving complaints from DTC customers that were receiving products heavily stained, dented and damaged, covered in black dust that looked like soot. We placed a number of trial orders and had the same issue every single time, products arriving in horrible conditions. After asking ShipBob multiple times for an explanation, product audit and resolution, we waited months and finally received appalling pictures that showed our expensive products "stored" in haphazard mounds on top of each other in filthy boxes on the floor. It was evident from the pictures that many units were stained, dented, broken, leaked. We requested a report of damaged vs salable units and a credit for the damages. After over three months, we still have received no answers on the counts and were told that all of our damages are due to a mysterious "manufacturing defect" and Ship Bob is refusing to cover for any of it. These are thousands upon thousands of dollars of loss plus DTC customers being lost due to the poor experience. Further to this, the customer service is absolutely useless for any matter beyond the simplest things and will just provide pointless "cut and paste" answers that do not resolve your issues. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this company to anyone who values their business and brand equity. I wish I could attach the horrible pictures for everyone to see.
RUN! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! I really do feel bad for you if you have already signed a contract with shipbob, this is the worst fulfillment center you will ever find. Hopefully you can find a way out before it's too late. I will say the company was not always this bad. 2 years ago Shipbob was smaller and they actually did a ton to care for their customers and they took pride in doing good work. Come to present day and they have been sitting on a container of our product for 6 days now and still haven't even stored it let alone shipped. We are literally begging for an update and all they do is send us links to their SLA. We get it, however, our agent promised us this was priority and turns out that was NOT the case. I guess this is what happens when you put profits over customer experience. Plus, its not just us look at all of the most recent reviews. To make matter worse their shipping rates are extremely expensive and they constantly lose product. NO JOKE, this year they lost an entire skew of ours and we had to tell our most important customer than none of his 17 clubs would get the product. He was blown away that a center could be so careless and he laughed at us when we said we used shipbob. He called them the " NIGHTMARE OF FULFILLMENT CENTERS" lol In closing I am writing this to all of the entrepreneurs out there considering shipbob as a partner. You have worked your butt off to get where you are, poured your heart into your brand, don't make the mistake of going with a company that will destroy your brand image. Go find a partner that will help your hard work pay off.
Hi Terra-Core team -- Thank you for the feedback, and I'm sorry this has been a frustrating experience. I did some investigation and found that the main reason for the extra 48 hour SLA policy is that you are sending Floor Loaded Containers, which take a bit more time and a lot more labor to unpack. If you were to send palletized containers, there would be no additional time required to unpack.
I know your products are large, so that may not be an option, but I'm sure there are ways to mitigate the impact of this. I've already pulled in Chetan, your dedicated account manager, to help figure out if we can accelerate any of the SLAs as a gesture of good faith.

After several years we are ending our relationship with Shipbob. They have overcharged us multiple times to the tune of thousands of dollars. Most recently, we submitted a work order to remove our few remaining items so we could close out our account. After paying for that work order, they "found" two cases of our most popular product of which we'd been sold out of for months. We relisted the item on our website and sold all but two units just in case there were any lost/damaged orders. We then submitted a disposal request for the warehouse to dispose of the two remaining 3.4 fl oz tubes of moisturizer so we could close our account. This should only cost a few dollars. Instead, Shipbob charged us $500 to dispose of two skincare products that fit in the palm of your hand. We raised the issue with Shipbob and weeks later we are still awaiting the refund...
Nick + Team, I'm really sorry to hear this and thank you for this feedback. As you probably know, I recently connected with our customer support team to ensure you got a refund for any mistaken charges on your removal order.
Shipbob is an absolute nightmare. I have never dealt with a company with such poor customer service. It takes weeks to resolve issues that are mistakes on their end. We have had consistent issues with them entering significantly incorrect product dimensions and weights. This has resulted in customers being quoted shipping rates 5-8 times higher than they should be. To make it worse, their customer service is taking weeks to fix each issue. The most recent issue took 6 weeks, just to get them to correct incorrect product dimensions (customers can't edit product dimensions or weights). For anyone considering using Shipbob, I would strongly encourage you to look at alternative options.
DO NOT go with Shipbob. Several hidden fees that they were not transparent about before coming onboard. If you're an apparel brand or any brand with several SKUs (i.e. size/color combinations), their warehousing costs are astronomical. They are 6X the price of my previous warehouse and cost more than rent for an entire house in the area. I'm moving my inventory ASAP and deeply regret the headache and money its costs me moving to Shipbob.
Just awful. I have been using a mom and pop company to fulfill my goods for years with no issues, but their software is really dated. So I tried Shipbob to compare the two. Wow. It's just been a disaster from day one. My onboarding rep was very hard to reach and I had to ask him the same question 5x to get an answer via email. They tried multiple times to weight and size my items when they arrived but never did get a good handle on it. The same product in the same size but a different color would come out like 2x the weight, for example. Customer service is very odd. You create a case via email and then get new emails for each reply they make, it's nearly impossible to keep track of all the emails about 1 issue. There is no way to go back and see past issues unless you keep those emails. They have lost inbound shipments. Lastly, almost every single inbound shipment is not received correctly and they are confused about the orders causing my items to be placed in an On Hold status and I am charged $25 per day until it's resolved.
It's a nightmare. I'm frantically trying to get out of there as quickly as possible.
If you want to grow your business, avoid Shipbob!
Support: Their support is incredibly inefficient, every single issue takes days (or weeks) to resolve.
Pricing: They make promises to review your pricing if you exceed a specific monthly spending limit and once that limit is exceeded, they say they cannot lower your costs. Their prices have been constantly increasing for several months, adding costs for no reason.
Storage: Despite very low stocks stored at Shiphbob, they charged me 12 pallets (I don't know if it was intended to charge more to customers or if it's just poorly optimized in the warehouse).
Shipbob seems to be growing too fast and no longer caring about its customers (despite more than $160,000 in annual bills) with very poorly managed support and constantly increasing costs so if you want to grow your business, I do not recommend Shipbob at all.
