Although we chose to not integrated ShipHero for the particular store we were trying it on, because it was more advanced and feature-rich than we needed at this time, the platform and it's abilities are outstanding. Even more so, the team and support at ShipHero - especially Matt - was worth the 5-star review itself. Their scheduling and onboarding process was very thorough and detailed. The support we received was very good especially for the asking price. I am sure as this store scales ShipHero will likely be integrated at some point, but for now, it's a bit overkill for us.
We own our own store in addition to owning a 3PL that ships for other e-retailers. Moving to ShipHero has been one of the easiest and most pleasant experiences we've had in our years of existence.
Previously we had to manage inventory with one app and then ship with another. This meant we had to develop a lot of processes for returns, shipping, and inventory that jumped from platform to platform. Now we're able to handle it all in one place which as created so many efficiencies for our team.
Above all, their team is incredibly responsive to any issues that come up and they're very accommodating to features and requests that we've had. I really can't recommend them enough.
We previously used ShipHero with Magento EE, but recently moved to Shopify Plus. We are now managing several Shopify Plus stores with ShipHero and it works like a dream.
Some of the best things about ShipHero are:
- iPad based, no more paper everywhere.
- Full control with bin locations and overstock.
- Fast and accurate picking process. We use carts where we pick into several totes for each picking session, and barcodes are used to verify.
- Fast packing process with another round of verification by scanning barcodes or confirming manually.
- Returns.
- Cycle counting.
- Statistics that greatly help when creating purchase orders. You can set re-order levels and amounts, saving you an incredible amount of time. ShipHero tells you how much you sold in the last 7/30/60/90/180/365 days.
- Lots of useful reports that seems to get better all the time.
- Amazing support!
If you ship anything above 50 orders per day and/or have lots of SKUs with the need for bin and overstock bin locations, the monthly cost is definitely worth it! Using this vs the standard Shopify shipping workflow is like day and night. We had another WMS before ShipHero aimed at larger retailers, so we have tried others, but we are getting faster and more efficient packing and picking with ShipHero.
Conclusion: Highly recommended!
We use ShipHero to run our operation. We have several shopify stores and sell on Amazon, eBay and Walmart. We peak at a bit over 1,000 orders a day.
ShipHero is the most sophisticated software for running an ecommerce business. ShipHero syncs inventory automatically and works great. ShipHero allows us to ship quickly and accurately. We use the mobile apps and web app for shipping.
The system is fast, reliable and has a ton of complex functionality.
If you're running an ecommerce business with scale (say over $5million in annual revenue), there is no better solution that ShipHero.

This review is primarily for the ShipHero 3PL software. Before moving to ShipHero, we were fulfilling 5K+ orders/mo very manually—no SKUs or inventory tracking, manual 3PL billing for other brands we fulfill for etc. We evaluated several 3PL solutions to help us scale fulfillment our own brands, as well as build out a new warehouse to grow our 3PL company. We finally settled on ShipHero because of the full suite 3PL software they've built rather than using separate apps for what we needed. We scored with Brett Oliveira initially, and then Mike Azimi as our onboarding specialist, and he was AMAZING to work with. The onboarding was super smooth, and we're now shipping 7K+ orders/mo for several brands from our first warehouse running ShipHero within a matter of weeks. Some specific things we really appreciate about ShipHero 3PL software: - Kits! We can create a kit SKU and assign multiple items to be picked/tracked as components in different locations in the warehouse.
- The efficiency of the picking flow through the warehouse.
- Replenishment reports for optimizing our team to restock pickable locations.
- Using Purchase Orders for receiving inventory is super streamlined, and makes it easy for our team to be efficient.
- The whole iOS/scanner implementation makes it easy to onboard new employees and make them productive immediately.
- Custom orders statuses that we can use to have pickers focus on specific 3PL brands.
- Order automation rules for adding SKUs to orders based on the product SKUs (e.g. adding ring box SKUs to ring orders, necklace pouches to necklace orders, etc.)
- 3PL billing! We haven’t even scratched the surface yet of all the detailed levels of billing you can apply to your 3PL customers - per pick, n+ picks, bins used in the warehouse, cubic storage used, etc. GREAT STUFF!
- There’s bound to be more things here as we explore the software further. The big selling point is that they use their own software in their own warehouses which means they dogwood their own features before providing them to us 3PL software customers. Before we started with ShipHero we visited their Allentown warehouse and got a ton of ideas for how to implement our warehouse layout and workflows. We still have yet to nerd out on Xbox Kinect for our packing stations, but they even have a KB article when we have some time :) We’d definitely recommend ShipHero if you’re looking to scale your 3PL company and want a SAAS solution from a growing company that is continually building features that help you grow with them.

WOW! This app saved the day! Works great, and the customer service is 5 star and so refreshing.
We sell on multiple Shopify stores as well as Amazon via FBA and Seller Fulfilled Prime and do over $7million US in revenue. ShipHero is our entire backend including order management, purchase orders, returns, profitability reporting, handling FBA replenishments, shipping orders for our regular daily orders and our flash sales, etc. ShipHero is extremely powerful and robust. I could not recommend it more highly.
I need this app - how can I get it.
We have a very unique business and have explored options that would cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars. But the amazing team at Ship Hero helped us tweak a couple of things and we now have a picking & packing solution that is faster than any machine solution we've been presented and it's completely scalable with our rapid growth. On top of that we're probably only using 30% of the true capability! I would highly recommend Ship Hero to any business needing stock, inventory or shipping management!
ShipHero's functional features are exactly what all Ecommerce stores/shops need to run a organize and successful business. Once you are familiar with the platform and have all the functionalities tailored to your company's needs, the work flow becomes more fluid.
However, we hope to see a stronger on-boarding demo, maybe more youtube tutorial videos in the future. Setting up Shiphero is a process. It is discouraging to seek assistance and be sent a link to an article to resolve the issue. I think we can all agree that nowadays businesses run on immediate answers and solutions, this is the reality of the industry we all work in. Whether it is demanded by business customers or buying customers.
ShipHero support team has been AMAZING through the process. Not to discredit anyone on the team, but I would like to acknowledge AMANDA & MARTIN for providing great customer support. It takes TREMENDOUS PATIENCE to deal with 1000's of customers with countless questions & concerns on a day to day basis. These two have been exceptional and HOPE THEY BOTH GET RAISES!
