Shipmonk has been a big step up from our previous 3PL partner, and a lot of that has to do with our happiness Engineer, Austin P. His attentiveness and knowledge surrounding Shipmonk software and protocol has been a huge asset. In the rare scenario where he doesn't know the answer to our question, he is quick to find it. Highly recommend working with Austin.

Shipmonk has been an amazing 1 stop shop for all my shipping and fulfillment needs. The most daunting task was the setup but David Lowthorp is their Onboarding Specialist and he made everything very easy and efficient. He also answered every question with a quick and timely response. I definitely recommend ShipMonk!

AN UPDATE WITH ANOTHER HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE:

i had to ship a wholesale order that weighs 60 lbs via USPS which normally would cost around $90 via USPS (nonnegotiated rates) , they charged me $527!!!
and the insane part is that since it was a wholesale order, the cost of shipping was TBD until the package was picked up by USPS which is too late. i call to let them know to intercept the package as i did not get a chance to approve this and the order i was shipping is not worth more than $250 in its entirety!!! but NO help.

this is an update to my previous onboarding experience which was another fail, the app works fine even though it overcharges but the minute you have an issue - they OVERBILL or just abandon you.

previous review: Horrible onboarding with so many details on their support pages and almost no syncing with shopify system - had to enter everything manually (they would have the SKU as the product name, the weight in ounces put in lbs), and then the receiving of products is miserable (they again overweigh products & overcharge on shipping and you cannot even edit to the right weight - an 8oz bottle could be weighed as 1 lb! Or even more! ) i regret sending them a whole stock, i should have started with a few items The team talks nicely and try to help but it feels like they are overwhelmed with their system and work flow themselves so the help they end up giving is subpar. in the end of the day, if i am outsourcing my shipping, you need to be a well oiled machine and a cheap alternative to in-house but they are anything but! Also our first big delivery with them was a big big big fail, we were overcharged with UPS because of their weight "errors"above - they split up 1 big order to 8 orders which were not packed professionally, they did a miserable job with taping up boxes and putting heavy items in a no-bubble plastic envelopes like true beginners and arrived to my client all destroyed.

transitioning to a warehouse from in house fulfillment was a really huge step for my business. searched for a long time to find the right fulfillment center that checked all the boxes for Wild Woods.

initially it was a huge learning curve for me - im not very tech savvy so some of the onboarding process was challenging for me to understand.
luckily I was able to contact a shipmonk team member very easily every time I would call in. they answered all of my questions, screen-shared with me, & walked me through certain processes I didnt full understand.

recently we have decided to sell on amazon, and I was worried it was going to be a really difficult process to have our invnentory split between shipmonk and FBA but after speaking with customer service at shipmonk they explained everything and the process is really quite easy. shipmonk is familiar with amazons receiving guidelines and all I have to do is submit an order and add to the notes that its going to an amazon warehouse and they literally take care of the rest. I am really impressed!!

matthew scherer has helped me immensley, he is very in depth when explaining things- always gets back to me right away with email and has just been a blessing in helping me anytime I have needed it! amanda jones, & sarah box have also been a huge help in various requests I have called in about.

I am really happy with our choice to go with shipmonk. now that I understand the system on a better level, everything is easier and more fluid.

Honestly the transition to a 3PL was not easy nor quick. However since we found Shipmonk we felt confident Shipmonk could take us to the next level as far as of fulfillment and storage.

Our Happiness Engineer is amazing, she's trustworthy, she assist us with any issues that may arise. I'm happy to say the communication we have developed is hard to find.

In the beginning we would meet weekly until we got the hang of things, then monthly to now only if needed.

Their SOPs are within regular expectations, nothing crazy or out of this world.

I would definitely recommend using their services, I do recommend to do some research and ask as many questions, so there are no unmet expectations or surprises.
