We have used other shipment protection products/services in the past and were consistently frustrated with spending so much every month (a majority of the revenue from the offering for sure), just to have those services reject customers' claims unless they fit a very specific window of criteria - causing us take care of the customer ourselves anyway. They would even go so far as to tell us the customers were their customers, not ours. This led us to start considering (and even started) developing our own app to offer our own branded-protection offering ourselves. Thankfully, we were connected with ShipTection at the very early stages of our development and found they had come up with an app that does the very same functions we were wanting to create! They did the work for us!! Thank goodness! ShipTection does everything we had already decided we wanted in our app! And instead of taking a percentage of sales, it's all for just the (VERY LOW) monthly fee! Amazing!! We now offer our shipment protection with our own branding (no mention or call-outs to ShipTection anywhere), our own pricing structure, the ability to have the offering toggled on our off automatically... EVERYTHING we had already decided to build into our own product! This has been a slam-dunk win-win-win for us. ShipTection wins with a VERY happy customer. Our customers win, being able to pay pennies on the dollar for extra assurance they will receive their product after it leaves our hands. We win by retaining 99.9% of the revenue generated buy our own shipment protection offering!
Will and his team have been really wonderful. They helped us set up Shiptection on our store. They were patient and answered all of our questions before we added the app and switching from Route. They're very quick to respond and they've resolved all of our claims so far. Super easy to use. Their customer support is impeccable. I trust Will and his team. I highly recommend this app!
The ShipTection team is excellent! We had a few hiccups with the initial install, however they were very responsive and resolved all issues quickly. Filing claims is easy for our team as well as our customers. Definitely worth the switch from Route.
We have had a great experience with Shiptection. The customer service is top notch and helped us save revenue over time. Much better experience than our attempt at other solutions!
We've used a different insurance solution previously, and have found Shiptection to be a more personal, efficient and productive service. They are quick to resolve any issue in a manner most agreeable with the customer. Integration is seamless and effortless. Highly recommend.
Sadly have come back to change my review to 1 star. Shiptection put on a very false front making you think they actually offer what they are advertising but after using them for a prolonged period we have found they are just another typical insurer who only has their interest at heart, not the customers. We have had constant glitches with the app when it was turned on to automatic, which heavily impacted our conversion rate. We chose to remove it from the site and move to manual adding, this is when everything came unstuck. At the point we weren’t insuring every order the claim rejection began, then they sneakily tried to turn our insurance on the auto add which meant we were paying insurance on all orders without consenting to it. When I addressed this our manual function stopped working, so we emailed asking them to add the insurance for us. Without explanation they contacted us telling we are no longer insurable - we have had extremely minimal claims and the last few were all rejected. Apparently if they can’t take advantage of you and force you to pay insurance on every order, whether it’s needed or not, it’s not beneficial to insure you. Your options are - have insurance on your website and have a glitchy site that affects conversion, or ask for manual B2B insurance and be rejected for your claims because you aren’t paying them enough. 100% steer clear!

When we notified the merchant, we told them we would honor all policies while providing refunds for all recent transactions. We spent significant resources internally to try to make ShipTection work for the merchant and were hoping to part ways on good terms.
App Performance on Site: Our team reviewed ShipTection’s functionality on their site but other 3rd party apps continued to interfere with our app. We agreed that removing ShipTection from the cart was the best idea until we had a different solution.
B2B ShipTection: Regarding B2B ShipTection malfunctioning, we have hundreds of sites using it and no one else has reported an issue. We checked logs for errors and never saw any app performance issues. We also never changed any settings without the merchants consent.
We are currently using Shiptection to cover lost bags. The customer service has been awesome! They email back right away and we've loved working with them. If you're looking for a better alternative to Route, this is it!
Shiptection is amazing! we have integrated them on Total Ink Solutions.com and they rates are much better then the competitors, plus they have gone out of their way to assist with integration and customizations. We look forward to a long relationship with this company.
Ameriflex loves the Shiptection app and platform!! Hands down the best solution in the industry. We have tried the other "big" names out there, and the customer service, rates, and over all experience is hands down the best!! A++
