ShipTection has been working really great for us after switching over to it from Route. We were having plenty of problems with Route in regards to denied claims or being too late to submit a claim due to the tight time windows for submission. We really got killed by international shipments, as those typically take longer to deliver, and a 30-day window is not enough. The claims window for ShipTection is much better, and the claims submission process is much smoother as well. For any claim, the ShipTection team handles all the work with helping my customers through the process and setting up a refund or replacement shipment. They are backed by InsureShip, and it's been solid so far. We ran into a couple of bugs during the setup process of the app, but their developer worked with us to iron things out, and things have been working well ever since. So if you're tired of Route, you can't go wrong with ShipTection.
The ShipTection team is excellent! We had a few hiccups with the initial install, however they were very responsive and resolved all issues quickly. Filing claims is easy for our team as well as our customers. Definitely worth the switch from Route.
We switched from Route to Shiptection and so far we've been really pleased with the service. They made setup super easy, we love how you can customize the branding of the shipping insurance plan, and the profit sharing model makes it a no brainer. Really happy we made the switch.
Guessing they have a small team, but once they got it up and running it works as intended. There still some bugs that can be fixed to improve it and as such the conversion isn't as good as the other ones, but I believe they'll be able to do that soon. It's a bit pricey, but there's a free version as well where they take a percentage instead.
After being screwed over by Route for too long - we were thrilled to find Shiptection as an option. Set up is quick and easy - and a member of their team can handle it for you if you aren't very technical. Adding this has increased both our AOV and Net margin and is a must for anyone selling a physical product.
We have used other shipment protection products/services in the past and were consistently frustrated with spending so much every month (a majority of the revenue from the offering for sure), just to have those services reject customers' claims unless they fit a very specific window of criteria - causing us take care of the customer ourselves anyway. They would even go so far as to tell us the customers were their customers, not ours. This led us to start considering (and even started) developing our own app to offer our own branded-protection offering ourselves. Thankfully, we were connected with ShipTection at the very early stages of our development and found they had come up with an app that does the very same functions we were wanting to create! They did the work for us!! Thank goodness! ShipTection does everything we had already decided we wanted in our app! And instead of taking a percentage of sales, it's all for just the (VERY LOW) monthly fee! Amazing!! We now offer our shipment protection with our own branding (no mention or call-outs to ShipTection anywhere), our own pricing structure, the ability to have the offering toggled on our off automatically... EVERYTHING we had already decided to build into our own product! This has been a slam-dunk win-win-win for us. ShipTection wins with a VERY happy customer. Our customers win, being able to pay pennies on the dollar for extra assurance they will receive their product after it leaves our hands. We win by retaining 99.9% of the revenue generated buy our own shipment protection offering!
