So far It a good. The platform is highly effective at driving actual sales and conversions, not just empty traffic. Ad spend can be higher than expected, requiring active management and optimization to maintain healthy profit margins. It is framed as a "high-performance" tool—powerful and scalable, but one that requires a bit of a learning curve to master the efficiency of the spend.

We’ve really enjoyed using the Shop app for our store. It has helped bring in new customers, increased visibility for our products, and made the shopping experience smooth for mobile buyers. The integration with Shopify is simple, and posting products and content through Shop has been a great additional source of traffic and sales for our boutique. We especially like how easy Shop Pay makes checkout for customers.

Caution to retailers outside US. If customer buys your product using their Shop App account, they charge the customer US taxes and remit it immediately! And you have to pay the credit card fees to collect it. BUT if the order is cancelled and refunded for any reason, Shopify refunds the customer but make YOU pay the taxes even with the order cancelled and refunded!

Here is the interesting part, if the same US customer shops directly on your Shopify store, they pay no tax!

This is all because of a court ruling that Shopify 's shop app store is considered a US seller and must charge US tax.

Shop App only benefits Shopify.

The app informed me that I needed to work on my store because my store wasn't discoverable to buyers which is something I didn't know. The steps to correct the issue was easy to follow and complete

We've been very happy using the Shop app. The accelerated checkout makes the purchasing process incredibly quick and seamless for customers, and we've noticed an improvement in our conversion rate since enabling it. Anything that removes friction at checkout is a big win for an online store.

The AI Bot (Sidekick) is an amazingly power tool. I've had numerous complex issues not related to Shopify, yet the bot was able to guide me to successful completion of the tasks. If you are not using Sidekick in your store, you are under-utilizing your potential.
