A app SHOP está a gerar um problema grave na nossa loja. Os meus clientes estão a receber informação de que as encomendas foram "entregue há duas horas" incorretamente! Mesmo de encomendas não processadas, isto está a gerar-me uma onda de mensagens a questionar de onde se encontram as encomendas. Para além disto, não consigo contactar a app para resolver o problema.
Caution to retailers outside US. If customer buys your product using their Shop App account, they charge the customer US taxes and remit it immediately! And you have to pay the credit card fees to collect it. BUT if the order is cancelled and refunded for any reason, Shopify refunds the customer but make YOU pay the taxes even with the order cancelled and refunded!
Here is the interesting part, if the same US customer shops directly on your Shopify store, they pay no tax!
This is all because of a court ruling that Shopify 's shop app store is considered a US seller and must charge US tax.
Shop App only benefits Shopify.
Love Shopify - hate Shop app (today, because we are on sale and Shop App decided to auto apply discount codes to customer orders and there is NO WHERE I CAN FIND TO TURN THIS OFF). If we want a customer to be able to use a discount code, we would give it to them. Auto applying internal 100% off codes is cooked. Please change background settings and give us an option to turn OFF auto-apply of discount codes.
Hating Shopify more and more every week. As a small business owner, it took WAY too long to set up, mostly bc built in visual design features aren't available -- even simple ones that competitor squarespace was offering freely years ago. Can't customize certain text or even link things further down the page without getting a web designer to spend hours on it.
THEN, I'm now dealing with hidden fees. The billing page says "Next bill in 5 days or when your $200 usd threshold is reached. You have $194 remaining." Which sounds to me like either I owe $200 or I don't... even though I've paid my monthly bill, EVERY MONTH. Currently chatting with a bot to TRY to get an answer, a waste of 30 mins -- but Shopify won't let you talk w an actual human on the phone, so you're at the mercy of chatbots. Overall, the apps are a huge pain to set up, each one does a thing, but not exactly how you need it to.. Don't recommend any of this. In fact, I don't recommend websites at all, or the internet, or supporting any tech company. I hope the billionaire owner of Shopify is reborn as a frog in their next life. I hope all those billions get him that, it's precisely what he deserves for wasting our time & money in the ways I just described.
Biased app. Don't recommend new seller, even they didn't recognize the store name. Stupid search engine as well. Its not surprising if you have thousands of well optimized products but you don't even find your store.
Won't let us remove our shop from this. We've turned off shop pay specifically to do this, but Shopify just keeps scamming their way into forcing this shop.app onto us even if we don't want it. When you contact support, you only get access to the most useless people who have zero abilities. Shame on you shopify.
Even if you uninstall the app it will keep featuring your brand and products without having explicitly enabled it. Your store and data remains eligible for marketing campaigns regardless of whether the sales channel is installed in the admin. This is concerning as essentially you lose control of the brand and whole shopping experience offered to customers.
BE CAREFUL!!! There's a reason it is nearly impossible to contact a real person.... I WAS DOUBLE CHARGED FOR AN ACCOUNT I DID NOT START AND WHEN CONTACTING HELP WAS TOLD THEY WOULD DO NOTHING TO HELP ME AND THERE POLICY IS NO REFUNDS.
Be cautious using this app. I was billed for a campaign I never turned on or approved. They turned it on without my permission. I recommend watching your ad activity and charges very closely. I'm very hurt and upset!
Unacceptable data practices and unauthorized marketing!
I am extremely frustrated with the Shop app. It has been pulling our data without explicit authorization and using it to trigger unsolicited marketing activities.
