Very basic app. Can only design the marketing messages from availble pre set template which are basic and looks outdated. Cannot even use own code and make it more appealing or interesting

The app did not want to work - I had to access it from a different place in the Shopify app and after several failed attempts I finally got it sent. Unfortunately the mailing list I have selected was cut short and only a third of my clients was picked for the mailing list in the process

In the last two months the performance of the editor has absolutely tanked. It makes it impossible to type your emails out in the editor anymore. I'm talking 5-10 seconds of delay for typing and what appears on the screen. Typing everything out in a separate program like google docs is also super annoying since shopify email doesn't support paste without formatting and trying to format text in shopify email is a joke. You can just enter a font size, your forced to use a slider and hope you can get the exact value you want. Absolutely sucked all the joy out of making emails. Also give me back the ability to format text (bold, italics, etc on buttons). The section limit is awfully low too.

This app was honestly GREAT for years, but as other reviewers have noted, an update was made recently that forces my shoppers to land on my site with Canadian settings. There is no way to change the URL they prepopulated with "en-canada". This is happening with the "Products" component in the email builder which is obviously the the most important thing to do right.

I had a huge campaign that depended on this email and only realized afterwards that all the product links were broken. So many lost sales because of this....

Dreadful bounce rate and hopeless support. I have been using Mailchimp, integrated with Shopify for many years. Being fully integrated, our mailing list is automatically synced between the two. As Mailchimp has become so expensive for small businesses, I decided to try sending campaign emails from Shopify - campaigns very similar in content and length as previously sent from Mailchimp. My Mailchimp bounce rate on the last email sent on 1 Nov was 0.15% which I'm sure you will agree proves the list is pretty good. The very first campaign I sent from Shopify led to 5.7% bounces! I explain this to Shopify support and they just send AI generated suggestions that make no sense to my problem, passing me from support person to person in the hope I will go away. One phone call would sort this out but that's not possible nowadays.

They leave me no choice but to stick with Mailchimp - and if this is an example of what to expect from today's support after 9 years of being with Shopify then I must consider moving my store to a better competitor.

Oh and disregard Shopify's assertion here that I have been using the App for a year - they may have auto-installed it a year ago, but I only started using it in Nov 2024.

PLEASE ADD THE OPTION TO SEE TO WHICH SEGMENT YOU SENT THE CAMPAIGN!
It is impossible to see that unless you duplicate every single campaign and open it.
It is really dumb not having that, even when you click on the campaign - NO SENSE!

I truly stood by Shopify emails vs an email app. I would even refer our friends to Shopify emails instead privy or klaviyo. Since the 4th of July all of my emails have been failing. I have followed every step Shopify customer service has asked me to do and it still does not work. Because of this our sales have decreased and it has been a headache.

I feel like shopify made a ton of updates this summer to the interface and email sales channel and I just wish it would go back to normal.

Unfortunately I am going to be switching to a third party for our email campaigns.

What is happening with Shopify Email? All test emails look horrible- they are either with extremely small text compared to what I set up, or some photos slip away from where it's supposed to stay, or some texts stick too close to other texts. I contacted their online support, but not very helpful. Very frustrating.

1 major flaw - you cannot translate the content. For stores that sell across the world in multiple languages it doesn't help if you can only serve 1 language. Hopefully this will change and than it will be awesome!
