I've been testing Shopify Messaging and abandoned checkout automations for my store, and I wanted to share some feedback.

Overall, the experience has been excellent. The interface is clean, modern, and much easier to use than many third-party email automation tools. Setting up abandoned checkout recovery emails, monitoring workflow activity, and reviewing performance data is straightforward even for store owners without advanced technical knowledge.

What I especially like:

* Clean and intuitive user interface
* Easy automation setup
* Clear workflow activity logs
* Good integration with Shopify checkout and customer data
* Reliable performance once configured correctly

One improvement I would suggest:
When an email fails to send because a customer is not subscribed to marketing, it would be helpful if the error message were displayed more prominently in the main workflow summary. This could save store owners time when troubleshooting.

Overall, Shopify Messaging is a very useful tool for recovering abandoned checkouts and engaging customers. It feels well integrated into the Shopify ecosystem and is much easier to manage than many external solutions.

I have only used it for email marketing and I really like the tool. My only complaint is that you can't choose multiple segments when sending an email campaign. So if you want to send an email to more than one segment, you have to duplicate the email and send individually for each segment. Hoping this gets fixed soon! Otherwise, highly recommend.

Overall pretty easy to use! I struggled a bit since you can't change the size of images easily. But the scheduling and set up is really similar to the online store templates so that made it a bit easier to figure out.

Good app for basic email campaigns but customer segmentation needs work. We tried to create a country specific segment and noticed that the list contained many other countries and in some cases, customers whose names contained the same two letters as a country code. Main issue seems to be the rule used to create a segmented list uses the word CONTAIN rather than IS. Spent 2 hours trying to use the AI helper and another 30 minutes on with Shopify rep trying to find a work around, but no luck. Rep said he would pass on the concern of using 'contain' rather than 'is' when creating specific customer segments, to the development team. We will have to wait and see if this improves.

This is only the second message I've sent to my entire email subscribers list, and it went great. Having used several other systems, I found this to be superior in it's simplicity. It was quite intuitive. Thank you for that!

Would be nice if it could handle location selection in the email footer to send emails from different store locations. That could be set up through store branding.

It's been amazing so far. I wish there is more editing room, like emojis, and having social media icons and being able to create hyperlinks with those. But still beautiful!

Bit of a forward and back for me as I not computer savvy. But I am working through steadily. Some small changes were not picked up by the AI, but It did explain that some changes may be still processing, the following day it was updated. For a newbie it has been a good experience.
