The app says it is customizable, but it is not. you can not add logos, remove pricing, add instructions for use or anything. The legacy app was WAY better than this! DO NOT INSTALL.
Hi, there. Thanks for your review of the new Shopify Order Printer app. You are still able to add logos to your templates, but now you need to edit the HTML for your templates to add this information, as well as remove pricing, or add additional instructions: https://shopify.link/p131. If you have difficulties with adding information, or making certain edits, reach out to us via our Help Center for assistance: https://shopify.link/vRnL. -Imogen, Shopify Support
Would have been nice to have a warning that it was going to wipe out all our custom code! thanks for screwing me and costing me an entire day to try to rebuild what i had
Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us here. You can learn how to make a duplicate copy of any of your themes here on our help site: (https://shopify.link/JGax), for future reference. -Don, Shopify Support
Packing list should not have price information on it.
Copy and past old templates does not carry everything over.
Hey there! Thanks for your review. I'm pleased to let you know we've removed the prices from the packing slip. If you still see them on your end, I suggest creating a support ticket through our Help Center (https://shopify.link/WJna), so our support team can investigate.
As for the templates, I'll make sure to pass your feedback along to our development team. Thanks! -Summer, Shopify Support
Don't fix what isn't broken. The older Order Printer app works so much better. I don't want this new app, and none of the other Shopify users I know do either. Don't take away the legacy one in August. If you do, we'll just switch to another third-party app that actually works.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the new Order Printer app. We understand your concerns about the changes and the preference for the older version. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we are actively working to address the issues raised by users like you. -Emily, Shopify Support
Any edits to templates must be done via code, so there is ZERO options for self service if you don't know how to code. Copy and pasting from the old order printer to the new one does not work as it claims it should, there are a lot of things that don't carry over (like pictures, tag lines, QR codes for discounts, etc)
Hi, there! If copying and pasting your existing templates isn't working, it is possible that you have legacy variables in place that need to be updated. Details on migration between the old and updated version of the app can be found here: https://shopify.link/18NL. If you need help, Shopify's Theme Support team may be able to assist with minor adjustments within the scope of the Shopify Design Policy. For any adjustments outside of our scope, I recommend posting a question in the Community forums: https://shopify.link/7kzD. -Sophia, Shopify Support
Why.....?
The legacy app worked. It's more flexible, holds features this app doesn't and this app requires work from a specialist to convert old templates.
Furthermore, the instructions to create a template are false:
https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/orders/printing-orders/shopify-order-printer/customizing-order-templates
When you "open app", there are no "templates", nor a "create a template" option.
Hi, there. Thanks for your review of the new Shopify Order Printer App. We do have a help document available here (https://shopify.link/18NL) that you can use for assistance with migrating your old templates to the new app without the assistance of an Advisor. Of course, our advisors are available 24/7 via our Help Center to lend a hand: https://shopify.link/vRnL. As for the 'template's option, when you open the 'Shopify Order Printer' app, you should see 'templates' appear as an option on the left-hand side of your screen. From there, you can select that option. Then 'create a template' will be available on the next screen in the top right. -Imogen, Shopify Support
Really... How clueless management... Nice job of screwing up something that worked fine.!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your review and providing this feedback. We switched over to a different tech stack that provides a better foundation to grow and roll out features. -Emily, Shopify Support
Moving the logo over can be hard to figure out but follow the documentation. I ended up dropping the image code for my logo on line 4 (vs #7 as per the example) to get my logo centered at the top of the page.
Regarding printing: You'll find both the radio buttons for "Invoice" and "Packing Slip" are checked by default. To default to only one, look at the top of the "Template" page for both pages and uncheck the one you don't want to have auto-populate.
This app is horrible, the original worked much better.
Once again take something that works and trash it.
I am really starting to think the developers have never sold anything in there lives.

Our template does not work in the new version of order printer.
Banner says to reach out if there are any issues with custom tempaltes but there is no way to actually reach out that we can find.
