My existing templates don't work with the new app. The order number, date, and barcode are all missing—three items that are essential for picking and packing orders.

If you use the Order Printer Templates app they have posted an article about the compatibility issues with the new app:

This migration was fairly straightforward but you need to engage the same developer that wrote your original templates. Seems like the variables now need to be explicit, the types have been made consistent for things like addresses, and there is a better hierarchy now so you can drill down in a more logical way to the thing you want to include. If I was writing templates from scratch, I would prefer this over the old version. The only thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to make the borders as thick as the borders on the legacy version, but that is just my own shortcoming I think.

Horrible! All the other reviews are very accurate in that this new version is not even remotely better! If you have minimal to zero coding experience, your life with be completely difficult because there is no easy way to format a decent template. Shopify, please do better for all your shop owners. We spend a lot of time and money to curate things down to the smallest detail for our customers. Work with us, not against us!

this app is horrible, why are you removing the legacy app and forcing this replacement on us ?
Did you find a new way to extract extra money from us ? did you learn something from a youtube side hustles video for a famous influencer ?
do you know that day by day it is getting cheaper to make a custom website with great hosting and 100x better support ?
do you also know that if your company gets too expensive with all these new hidden costs, people will shift to a platform that will accommodate them better ?

In new Order Printer the displayed div is too small. When the customer address is long, the displayed content overflows. Meaning what Order Printer shows isn't what gets printed. This works properly in Order Printer (legacy)

I tried replacing CSS:
Polaris-Box
with:
Polaris-Box printer-inline-preview

But this doesn't fix the issue. Polaris-Box div width is too small and Polaris-Layout CSS doesn't flex correctly in the new app.

Please fix.

Absolutely awful. Templates don't migrate and no easy way to start over and create new templates branded and customized to your store - even from scratch. What a total about face from the old Order Printer app. For now, this is completely unusable, but I'm sure Shopify will force us to use this at some point in the future. The best you can do with this app is a basic shipping list that looks like a printout from a hardware store.

While you can transfer existing templates from Order Printer to Shopify Order Printer (https://shopify.link/18NL), there are some adjustments to you will need to make to the existing variables. That being said, if you need some help with with migrating or customizing the templates, then this is something that our Theme Support team can help you with. I'm glad I waited for Shopify to work out all of the kinks on this app. I downloaded it and was prompted to transfer my previous templates to this new app. Everything worked well and my old templates were imported without any problem.
