Why.....?

The legacy app worked. It's more flexible, holds features this app doesn't and this app requires work from a specialist to convert old templates.

Furthermore, the instructions to create a template are false:
https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/orders/printing-orders/shopify-order-printer/customizing-order-templates

When you "open app", there are no "templates", nor a "create a template" option.

Hi, there. Thanks for your review of the new Shopify Order Printer App. We do have a help document available here (https://shopify.link/18NL) that you can use for assistance with migrating your old templates to the new app without the assistance of an Advisor. Of course, our advisors are available 24/7 via our Help Center to lend a hand: https://shopify.link/vRnL. As for the 'template's option, when you open the 'Shopify Order Printer' app, you should see 'templates' appear as an option on the left-hand side of your screen. From there, you can select that option. Then 'create a template' will be available on the next screen in the top right. -Imogen, Shopify Support

Why this app was created in the first place? Most of the liquid variables never works while those were working in the order legacy app. Worst move ever.

I paid for Invoice/Packing Slip template and now I have to use the basic ugly template from Shopify Order Printer. If you want to change the legacy version, you should have bring back our purchased template as well. I'm not familiar with coding, and couldn't adjust the template...

I don't think I've ever been more mad at a developer than I am at the Shopify devs right now.

They've bugged the legacy invoice generator and are too stupid to just roll it back like any other platform would do. The fact they apparently don't have regression testing for the biggest e-commerce platform on Earth is mind boggling.

Looks like another complete and utter failure to go along with the many other failures from the Shopify development team. I'm curious as to why Shopify continues to log so many failures in a market landscape that has so many different competitors. This failure coupled with Shopify's failure to add simple dimensional shipping proves that they don't have their customers best interests at heart.

If Shopify wants to upgrade an app, then just upgrade the current app like every other vendor! Don't make everyone migrate to a new app that doesn't automatically migrate custom templates. They need to fix this ASAP. I'm decent at Liquid at this point, but there is no reason to make us spend hours to do something that shouldn't be necessary

The original order printer came with a variety of "look and feel" templates and looked great. I am not sure who at Shopify came up with this bad joke which we are now being forced to use.

None of the shipping details print out on this new APP - don't know if it is regular, expedited, post, courier etc
This needs to be FIXED

Not impressed. Seems like another change for the sake of it. Every time something is updated it just creates more work and for no apparent reason. It's counter productive and helps nobody. It would at least be something if we were given the reason for the change. What was wrong with the original app?
