This app automatically exports in Imperial Measurements with no option to change it.
Even if your Shopify Store is in Metric and your Etsy is in Metric it will still list in imperial and not take over any of the package information. Tried contacting support and they just spoke in circles with no real attempt at fixing or even understanding the issue.
Having to go through and manually modify hundreds of ads isn't what im interested in paying monthly for.
Went back and forth with support for them to say
"When you attached this image from your Etsy account, this is how it was exported via our app. If yes, it seems to be good, correct ?
If not, please let me know how you expect it to be"
All of our correspondence was solely about the listings being made in Imperial and at no point in our exchanges were they even able to articulate they understood the actual issue.
I'd wager they just use AI to give empty responses that mean nothing.
Ineffective app and even worse customer support on the most basic things. Forewarned.
EDIT: All of my shopify info is in Metric. They know this as I gave them access to my store. Theyre openly lying. Their APP isnt able to discern Imperial or Metric and their bot posts from the US.
Not even a day after this review every listing that was exported by this APP to Etsy was flagged for policy violations that weren't specified. Any manual item I uploaded that carried all the same description and info was intact.
I believe this company triggered auto filters via Etsy's API and tanked my store. These guys are toxic and vile.
Avoid at all costs.
Thank you for your feedback — I truly take it seriously.
I understand your concern regarding measurements being exported in Imperial units. Based on our investigation and Etsy’s current system behavior, measurement units are determined by the store’s region and are not configurable via API. Our app sends the data exactly as it exists in Shopify, and we rely on Etsy’s capabilities for how that data is ultimately displayed.
We genuinely tried to better understand your specific use case and even offered to schedule a call so we could explore possible workarounds together. Resolving edge cases like this — especially when they depend on platform limitations — sometimes requires a bit more collaboration and time to investigate properly.
We’re sorry to hear that the experience felt frustrating. Our goal is always to provide clear, helpful support, and we certainly do not rely on generic or automated responses when assisting our users.
If you’re open to it, we would still be happy to work with you directly to better understand your needs and see if there’s a practical solution or workaround we can offer.
Best,
Shirly.
Just finished a few last minute gift set listings on Etsy and went to import them to Shopify. It's been a busy Black Friday and I was too tired to manually add them. Well, imagine my horror when the import finished and had completely DELETED all of the existing listings in my Shopify storefront. On Black Friday. After I had already spent thousands of dollars (and invested many, many hours) in ads and promotional content directing customers to my store. Not only do I now need to stay up later than I can and try to manually recreate every last listing, but all of my links are now broken, all of my SEO equity is gone, it's all just GONE. Do not trust this app, for the love of god. Devastated is an understatement.
I’d like to clarify that our app does not delete any listings. We take data safety very seriously, and everything is designed to give merchants full control over their inventory.
Since your experience, we’ve also made significant improvements and are now officially Built for Shopify certified, which reflects the quality, reliability, and performance of the app.
We understand that trying new tools during busy periods like Black Friday can be challenging. I’d highly recommend giving the app another try during a quieter time to fully explore how simple and efficient it is to use today.
I’d also be more than happy to personally schedule a meeting and walk you through everything step by step to ensure it works perfectly for your needs.
It’s very complicated my I’m not able to list my items i like my refund and cancel my subscription please
Hi,
I noticed you're giving the app another go—welcome back! I’d love to jump on a call to assist with your listings and ensure the setup isn't 'complicated' this time around. Please contact us at shirly@shopupz.com to book a meeting so we can help you succeed!
Best,
Shirly.
Etsy items move to a "sold out" status when the inventory is depleted. After ordering items and updating the quantity of items on Shopify the application incorrectly zeroed out the quantity of items on Shopify. Shirly insists it's a feature of the application instead of a bug.
Hey, our mission is to align quantities between the stores so you will not oversell. You requested to keep selling on Shopify and not on Etsy. In this case you need to change the SKUs so we will not sync those listings , or to set Etsy listing to inactive/draft.
Please note that Etsy and Shopify have gaps when it comes to inventory management. Etsy doesn't allow to set quantity zero and it marks the listing as sold out. When a listing goes into sold out status it means that it's out of stock and we update Shopify to zero so clients will not oversell. This is our primary mission.
As explained in our email threads we will not be able to update Etsy sold out listings on Shopify with quantity >0 , it's our design strategy.
I've seen that you used the app for several months also for order sync , export listings and sync quantities and it worked successfully as expected.
Service is my top priority and I'm happy to address any need that helps to upgrade our app anytime as long as it aligns with our client needs and common use cases.
Best,
Shirly.
UPDATE #2: Shirly is not trustworthy. The issue was not duplicate SKUS. Stop trying to pass the buck. I am not the only person having this issue. Your true character shows with your false follow-up. Please do not believe anything Shirly says in her replies to bad reviews, it is not true and will never admit fault. Our issue was exactly as described and had nothing to do with duplicate SKUs.
This application has negatively impacted our sales. As others have mentioned, this app removes inventory from our Shopify inventory when an Etsy listing expires. Additionally, bidirectional inventory sync is not activated. Our Shopify inventory should always take precedence over our Etsy inventory. This has been an ongoing issue for almost a year without any fix.
We have been trying to work with Shirley, but it seems that they have stopped providing any support and just want to brush us under the rug. We were told to wait for 1 month for a resolution, and now they have stopped offering support after 1 month.
It is obvious that they just want problem customers to uninstall so they can work with smaller stores that are less robust.
Thank you for your reply. I want to clarify some key points regarding your review. Over the past several months, I’ve put significant time and effort into addressing your specific needs, including developing a custom feature tailored to your requests. Upon investigating the issue, it became clear that the problem was caused by duplicate listings with a quantity of zero, which affected your other listings due to shared SKUs.
It’s disappointing to see your claims, especially considering that I’ve consistently provided support and solutions, despite the lack of respect and cooperation on your end. The app has been in use for a considerable time without these issues being properly acknowledged from your side.
I’m always committed to helping my users, but successful resolutions require clear communication and mutual respect.
Best,
Shirly.
Doesn't update SKU's.
I’d love to better understand what you meant by “Doesn't update SKU's,” as our app does support syncing based on SKUs when listings are properly linked between Shopify and Etsy. Once connected, you can update key fields like price, title, description, and images with ease.
Since it looks like the app was only used for a short time, it’s possible the initial setup or linking step wasn’t fully completed.
We’re also now officially Built for Shopify certified, and have made many improvements to make syncing smoother and more reliable.
I’d really appreciate the chance to help you get the most out of the app—happy to jump on a quick call and walk you through everything step by step.
Not a single item synced from my Etsy store to my Shopify store. I sent a message but since I sent a message a couple weeks ago that wasn't answered I don't expect this one to be answered either. Update, just found out you can't import from etsy to shopify, really wish I had known that earlier.
Hi, Shilrly from shopUpz! I am so sorry for the frustration, but I want to clear up a misunderstanding! I actually responded to your message within one hour of receiving it. It’s possible my reply landed in a spam folder or there was a delivery glitch, which is why you haven't seen it yet.
I also want to clarify: Our app definitely supports importing from Etsy to Shopify! I see you still have the app installed, and I would love to jump on a 1-on-1 call right now to do the import for you and make sure everything is perfect.
Please check your spam folder for my email, or reach out to me directly at shirly@shopupz.com so we can sync your store together immediately!
I do not recommend this app.
Because the support is the worst.
Thanks for wasting a lot of my time.
Initial synchronization is not possible, so I use Japanese for SKU for support
I am sending you an image.
Support Shirly confirmed the image, but instead of telling me that the initial synchronization was not possible due to the Japanese language, she told me another reason.
And even if I did what she said, I couldn't get the initial synchronization, so I asked for support again, and this time I was told that the Japanese was the cause.
Hey you? Did you know that my SKU is in Japanese from the beginning?
why didn't you say it first?
WARNING! CHANGES STOCK NUMBERS RANDOMLY!!!!! Updated review: After using this for a while (I don't know when exactly it started changing stock numbers without permission), the app started to randomly and without authorization edit, delete and add stock to products-- products that were not even part of the inventory integration. Because at least SOME of the products were not even authorized to be part of this apps services, they should not have been touched by the app. I have spent MONTHS trying to figure out why my stock was never right-- especially on products that were listed only in one store. I was always selling things I did not have and that I THOUGHT I had long ago edited to be correct. It turns out, I did edit them, but the app just goes ahead and changes them to whatever it wants. You can see this in the product variant inventory history. I finally reached out to Shopify for help and they were able to precisely show that this app was responsible for the random changes-- they are the ones that showed me SHOPUPZ was changing the inventory randomly in the variant investory history. There was NO DOUBT that this app was responsible. They created a case for me and submitted it to the developers of this app. The case was IGNORED. I received NO RESPONSE AT ALL. So, I reached out again, and Shirly told me that she needed to know what the problem was. I referred her to the case from Shopify. She replied that she needed details and examples and implied that there must not really be a problem because I was a customer for over a year. I AGAIN referred her to the case from Shopify which the tech and I spent about an hour putting together. I saw no reason to re-do this work when she should have received AND ALREADY RESPONDED to this case. A better app with better support would not have had this problem in the first place and secondarily, they should have addressed the shopify case immediately. Instead, they have an inventory management app that makes it's own decisions about your stock levels (sometimes adding or deleting 5 or more to a specific variant) and a support team that does not see, respond to or care about the cases submitted through shopify. THen she stopped replying at all. So now I have an TRASHY app that has completely screwed up the stock all over my store, and NO SUPPORT AT ALL WHATSOEVER. If you're looking for an app to mess up your hard work counting, by all means install it. But if you want something that does what it says without randomly changing stock for NO REASON, please look elsewhere. This is a horrible app with horrible support. DO NOT USE!!!! My Initial review: Easy to set up and the support and help is fantastic. This is so great for keeping stock between my stores synced. Great app!!!
I cancelled this app more than a year ago because it doesn't work - I never get integration with my Etsy store and orders never come through. Then today I find out that I've been billed this entire time! Every month. It never actually cancelled. I'd like a refund.
Hey,
Please note that you installed my app on September 3rd and removed it after 11 months today at August 4th. I've also confirmed the issue with Shopify team.
In case you haven't used the app I will be happy to discuss and refund you.
I've sent you several emails and you haven't responded yet.
Looking for your response.
Shirly.
