We just started using SKIO about ~5 months ago and it has been nothing but a success. Here are my "whys" on if you have an e-commerce brand you should use it.
1) Reporting
There are so many reporting tabs in SKIO, every time I ask a question to our support rep on "How To" there's already a feature built into the tool. Also, they are very open to building the internal reporting tools that you suggest.
2) Forecasting
Forecasting inventory/SKU has been super helpful for us to understand which inventory levels we need to keep each item at and standardize on that number.
3) Constant Customer Feedback
Constant feedback along the lines of why customers are taking the actions they are + seeing trends in the data which helps us figure out which directions to build.
4) Predictive revenue
The monthly subscriptions help our business better predict revenue and which SKUs it comes from.
5) Finding your "Whale" Customers
Finding "Whale" or "VIP" is tricky, retaining them is trickier. SKIO offers different tiers of discounts to keep our top customers happy has been a huge plus.
If you're in the e-com business and you're not using SKIO you are missing out.

In a bakeoff with various competitors, the Skio team came out on top. They know what stores need to offer subscription programs, and they're building all of it out.

We've been on one of the major subscription providers since we've started the company. Thank the lord for SKIO, because we aren't any more! Skio is, hands down, the fastest and most nimble sub system I've seen in the shopify ecosystem. The team is second to none. I've been in ecom for 20+ years and they are by far setting the standard to become a Tier I player. Don't sleep on Skio for subscriptions no matter what vertical you're in.

We are another case study coming over from ReCharge. I cannot stress enough how seamless this has been.
I think ReCharge is a great product, don't get me wrong, but I'm a stickler for customer support. Personally, I think it's complete BS how many of these apps take so much money from you, but can't figure out a way to provide exceptional support.
Skio made it clear from the beginning they are not compromising on that, and they have lived true to their word.
Another key thing is that after spending a decade in sales, I'm very sensitive to being sold to. Skio (and Aidan specifically) understand this, and do not push. They consult, provide ideas, and when you're ready, they bring you on. No "this offer is only valid for today" type BS.
First off, they have a dev team that handles the entire transition, in the backend, and without your involvement until it's almost ready to go live.
Secondly, you are assigned a CSM right out of the gate for on-boarding, go-live, and post go-live support.
Our team for this, Sandro & Chris, are both absolute FKN rockstars. They respond fast, in-depth, and follow-up after the fact to make sure it all made sense.
Beyond this, the product is superior to ReCharge IMO for multiple reasons.
1) They take over your account/login page as part of the build, so whether you're a sub, or a single purchaser, you have one clear account for your order history, and the UI/UX is outstanding
2) The data analytics are waaaaay faster load times (almost real-time...sometimes a slight load delay)
3) The customer UX/UI in the portal is way sexier and easy to use
4) Their cancel flow allows for a lot of customization to reduce churn - we've implemented multiple new messages and reasons, along with churn reducing actions
Overall, Skio is moving forward, while ReCharge is playing catch-up (even if ReCharge still has features Skio doesn't yet, it's clear Skio moves fast, and is constantly updating, whereas ReCharge is resting on their laurels)
I love the team, the pricing is fair, and the tech is awesome - I'm excited to see where this goes.

Top notch team and service! They are constantly working on new updates and features that help merchants like us grow our subscription business.
During the integration process, their support team was extremely helpful and was even able to work on a custom integration for our store. We have some pretty complex logic for a part of our business and their team was able to add extra features to their api to support our functionality! Working with members from different departments/team is always a pleasure.

I made it a priority to migrate our store off of Recharge and onto Skio this year. The main selling point for me is that Skio offers excellent customer support. The team behind the app is highly responsive and knowledgeable. Whenever I have encountered a question or needed assistance, their support team was quick to provide helpful solutions. They have been frequent collaborators in helping improve our subscription program and I appreciate all the new features they have available to test.
