Very good product and reasonable pricing! Only issue is a slight visual bug: When we have to send users a direct download link, it brings them to a page where the download link for the file is white text on a white rectangle background, and the hit-target for the link to download is only the lowest line of text, not the entire white box. So the users frequently get back in touch saying "where exactly do I download it?"
But if the team can address that bug, I'd give it 5 stars.
EDIT: The customer service team at Sky Pilot was very polite and responsive, and fixed this css bug. Thank you Sky Pilot!
We've used a few other apps to try to handle digital downloads, and Sky Pilot is by far my favorite. Fully functional (for my purposes, at least) in the free version, and the customer-facing experience is much better than the competition we've explored.
We use this for a package of downloads that is updated and expanded regularly, so I LOVE that it gives us the ability to update the products and push email notifications to previous purchasers.
Associate was professional and helpful and I acheived the desired outcome. I am only concerned now with how my downloads are looking flushed and over saturated when the "access download" link is clicked. My color profile for downloads is consistent so I'm not sure why they look flushed when using this app.
I have been using this app for a number of years now. Support it top notch. Stable and solid app. Definitely recommend!
I would luv to give zero stars if I could. It's not as user friendly as they say. If you're not familiar with tech like me I definitely, definitely would not use the Sky Pilot app. Every time I reach out to customer service, I tell them I'm not tech savvy and they chat back or leave messages like I'm a tech support specialist..and they are very vague with their instructions. It's so frustrating because they give these hard to understand instructions and I have to reach out to them again and ask for easy to understand answers. Then some of the answers aren't correct and I'm sent on a wild goose chase to get the answers I need. When chatting with the reps it takes them so long to respond back with an answer to my question, 3 to 4 minutes. I asked one rep why it takes them so long..he said they are helping several people at once. I was on a chat for over
2 hours and my question still wasn't answered.
I am a patient and considerate person however
as a business owner dealing with Sky Pilot and Shopify, I've lost money and I'm sure clients as well. I'm not blaming the reps as much as I'm blaming the business..because the representatives are probably overwhelmed and overworked. I have had such bad experiences, and tears of frustration. It's been unbearable and unbelievable.
