We attempted to reach the merchant but were unable to get in touch with them. We hope everything is well on their end.

After reviewing the store's billing history, I confirmed that the merchant was charged three times for the following billing periods: February 21–March 23, March 23–April 22 and April 22–May 22.

The app was uninstalled on May 3, at which point all future billing was automatically cancelled. However, because the merchant had already entered the third billing cycle before uninstalling, Shopify processed the final charge and included it on a later invoice, which is standard Shopify billing behavior.

Once the merchant contacted us on May 22, we immediately issued a full refund of $14 for the pending charge in the form of Shopify credit. Shopify also sent the merchant an email confirming the refund.

We followed the correct process at every stage, so it is really sad to see a review that does not reflect what occurred. I hope we will be able to connect with the merchant and sort this out!

I also see you only used our app for image optimisation and with amazing results! Over 500MB reduced from 1500+ images. And you're still using our optimised versions on your store. So I'm really confused what happened..

Also I could not find any conversations with our customer support..

It's really sad to get review for billing, especially when our app did everything correct.

The reason the merchant was charged is because they used the app over trial, uninstalled and got charged at a later date for the pending charge. This happens all the time and we always refund on request.

It's really sad to see reviews instead of receiving an email for billing issues when we can resolve them within minutes, especially when we get reviews published only after 24h or more so we cannot react fast to the issue at hand.

The merchant was billed for extra optimizations on the 2 year plan. We understand how unexpected charges can be frustrating so I refunded all extra charges. Also I want to clarify a few points.

Our app gives you full control to prevent extra charges:

1. Disable recharge entirely so optimizations stop when the plan limit is reached.
2. Set a monthly spending cap in the settings.
3. Turn off image optimization to avoid any additional charges.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused. The reason Yearly plan is different from monthly plans is due to Shopify not having usage charges on their yearly plan API. So we have to work around It and this is why price is not shown in the Shopify billing window. We have asked them to include It through customer support, Twitter, but nothing was done yet.

The yearly plan includes all of the features of the app and Is a great way to save on costs if you do not have thousands of images being added each month. Also you can find all of the details of each plan here: https://tiny-img.com/pricing/ As we have so many features, we do not want to overcrowd them in our app pricing page.
