I first left a bad review for this app because I misunderstood how the app is interacting with the shopify platform. However, after that the Tinify team got in contact with me and cleared everything up. Actually they did that in such a great and professional way that I am now happy to leave a a stars review, because obviously the app is working and the team is trustworthy.
We were able to get on a call with the merchant and we completely understood their case. The issue was that when the optimization was complete - the filenames changed and something stopped working.
When any app on Shopify optimizes images, the filenames always change. Shopify requires unique filenames to be provided to It or It will make the filenames unique Itself If we attempt to re-upload the images with same filenames.
But to protect from this - our app has really easy ways to restore the images. When It's a few images, you can go one by one. When It's a lot of images, we can bulk restore with one button click.
It's really unfortunate to see such a review when the issue could've been resolved In minutes. If anyone reading this encounters something similar, please message our in-app customer support. We have experts working 24/7 and this would've been resolved within minutes.

Spoke with Julia for an issue with our banner (to be honest I still dont have a clue what it was, tech illiterate). Julia was able to fix the issue and raised our page significantly. That wasnt the most important thing to me though. The important thing was that she treated me like she knew me and didnt make me feel like an idiot for knowing nothing. I definitely will feel comfortable reaching out to support again for any issues because of this. I really appreciate this level of customer support.

I will start off this review by saying I'm horrible with technology. I find this app very easy to use. SEO is very time consuming. They have some great features though that really help shorten the amount of time I have to put in. Anytime I haven't been able to figure something out I just message them in chat and they help me figure it out quickly. I definitely recommend this app. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of SEO

I was looking to reduce and optimise images and boost my site. Then I found Tiny. My page speed, performance, and SEO were all ranking around 70. But now they are all above 90. if you are looking to boost your site speed and improve SEO with AI Generate Metadata and Alt text this app can do all that and it also can fix broken links. I think it is a really good app.
