Impossible to cancel, unauthorized charges reoccur every month, any attempt to sto failed, had to escalate with Shopify, hopefully that would work

We briefly installed this app 18 months ago when it was free, but never actually used it. We were therefore shocked to discover that Recharge had billed $99 to our Shopify account last month.
We have contacted Recharge numerous times and they have promised to refund. However, we have still not received a refund to our Shopify account.
We have been back and forth between Recharge and Shopify customer services. Shopify tell them to refund us. Recharge say they will refund but the refund never materialises.
We are extremely surprised that an app on Shopify is allowed to operate like this.

App itself looks great. Customer service a complete let down. Highly not recommend using this app for this reason alone. Non responsive. Month 3 being billed $499 USD (total $1497 USD) for the app to still not be working correctly on site.

Another victim of enshittification. Recharge increased monthly prices from zero to $100 and ruined what was a solid service.

No way to get rid of this useless app and they have been charging me on the sly a $99 fee for months on end when I’ve removed all my products from their site months ago!

They certainly increase the prices of the app without any warning at all and now since our subscribers are still in this we cannot close and canceled app.
WARNING do not ever use this app they are stealing money

I do not leave reviews often, but I will be here STRONGLY to encourage you to find a different subscription provider. While we may have had complicated needs, Recharge severely over-promised and under-delivered several times while working with them, thus wasting our time and causing frustration for almost four months; this resulted in not having a reliable subscription program up and running by Black Friday after reaching out in July to get started.
The lack of support is truly not worth the things they promise. In terms of pricing, I believe we were going to be paying $2000 per month for Recharge, and we are a small business with under 100K in sales per month at the moment. All that said, after several months of back and forth and no result, we decided to cancel our contract and move to another company that can achieve all that Recharge promised in two weeks' time and for a couple hundred dollars per month.
The more I mention my negative experience with Recharge, the more I hear of others who have had similar experiences and frustrations. Recharge simply can't handle the number of clients they are taking on, and outside of our WONDERFUL sales rep, Sam, they don't seem to care much. There are better options out there (but NOT SKIO)!!

Charged me 100$ per month for my subscription without my approval. Extremely dishonest company to long time customers. DO NOT USE.

Increased price with no warning! £79.60 a month.
Absolute con! I think they are hoping most businesses won't notice or bother chasing refund.can only close account by requesting them to do it!

Awful app. Refuse to respond and refuse to cancel my account. they haven't replied to my support tickets in weeks and keep charging. Satay away from this scam app and go with something else!
