The app used to be impressive, we have been using it for some time, but today we received an email outlining the new pricing that we will be required to pay starting next year: $99 per month. This exorbitant price tag is simply unaffordable, making it difficult for us to survive. And to have the gall to also continue/increase the transaction fee at the same time.
We're disappointed.
We will promptly search for an alternative app provider if this remains smh

The system is a bit slow to work with, but I'm a fan of the chat customer service function. They're always super fast to respond and clear up my issues, no matter the complexity. Latest, I got amazing assistance from Nevena J. from the customer support team

It seems like a great app and we would have loved to stick with it, but it appears that unless you pay the extra $99 for the enhanced support option they'll only provide limited responses which are often delayed. Our questions have been simple - around setting up separate shipping options for subscription members only (which you can't do directly within the app). However, our ReCharge dashboard doesn't match the guides they provide so I think that we're experiencing a bug/compatibility issue as we have options missing (they previously fixed something similar that wasn't showing up and we were initially impressed by the support). Sadly 3 emails later and no response, I think we've exceeded our free help (we can do minor coding and tweaks ourselves so we're not expecting them to do anything for us). We're hesitant to pay for support for something that doesn't appear to be compatible with our theme, and we don't want to crash our site, so sadly we're going to install what is in all honesty not as good an app but with better and faster support.
Over priced and taking too much from their customers. If you are a small business trying to scale steer away!! High monthly fees, as well as fees per transaction and an extremely slow analytics system to go with it.
Sarah at Recharge was super helpful and really quick to assist with any queries I had. She installed the app onto a draft theme for a client to ensure that the current site wouldn't be affected. She was very responsive and helpful and I was able to get any questions answered promptly. Thanks a mil guys!
ReCharge is the best subscription app around, and everyone knows it. The thing that really sets them apart though is their support. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to utilize subscriptions for their store.
I was happy with ReCharge and I would continue with them but their price increasing to 99$ per month coming into effect in the new year is ridiculous. Sadly no options for smaller businesses and this simply seems like an attempt to increase their revenues. I look forward to switching to a competitor that is more reasonable and fair for smaller businesses. What an inconvenience!

The app mostly of does what it's supposed to but has a lot of Shopify integration issues. Back end subscription management is tedious and unintuitive. Customer service agents are unhelpful if they respond at all, and when they make sweeping platform changes the user is left helpless with no response from developer. Lack of customization options. I used Recharge for several years before I found a better solution: Seal Subscriptions. Easier to navigate, integrates better with Shopify, and costs significantly less if you're running a business that's doing <$10k/mo.

I've had a pretty poor experience with Recharge. They charge you for all sorts of features including customer support. We've been using Recharge for our subscription offering for the last 2 years. They recently changed how the customer portal looks, you used to be able to customize how this page looked so it was on-brand and matched the rest of the site. Without any notification, they've changed it completely. It can't be customized with brand fonts or colors - so it looks really awful. They now require you to upgrade to customize this page, $300 a month. Pretty crazy. I'm actively looking to switch to another app for our subscription products.
