My experience with ReCharge has been a bit hit and miss on a number of levels. I am however thankful to the support team who answer my queries and frustrations of which there are quite a few. (I'm sure I will get more experienced with ReCharge which will reduce my issues).
I was particularly troubled to learn the ReCharge App does not play nicely with Shopify WRT refunds. Despite seeing the refund button on an order page in Shopify, being able to click the button, populate all fields and press "Refund" and then get a confirmation the money has been refunded—it hasn't—leading to some egg-filled faces in dealing with clients irritated their refunds had not appeared. The checkout customization within ReCharge is very rudimentary. I had to pay a developer to create a more robust-looking offer in checkout so customers were able to see the advantage of subscribing.
I like ReCharge Support—it is excellent. There have been many who have helped answer questions....And Alicia J recently provided me with truly excellent and very much appreciated support when I really needed it. Alicia went above and beyond to look at the interaction with another App that became the source of my trouble in its interaction with ReCharge. Thank you Alicia J...!!!

Great customer service and functionality looks really good right now. Only reason why this review isn't 5 stars is I haven't finished testing all the features yet. Once I go through everything will update this review accordingly.

ReCharge has improved a lot recently now that you can customise the customer portal. We're also excited to be able to add one-time products to our store with the pro plan.
Love the function of the app. Requires a bit of communication to get everything up and running but they are easy to reach and talk to.
Recharge has been pivotal in allowing us to easily run our subscription service. It integrates pretty well with Locksmith, and while we have occasionally had some small frustrations, they are mostly minor and aren't anything that would make me look for other solutions. Being a non-technical person, their customer support has been helpful more times than I can count - most recently Jaquez helped us out big time.
Ranson helps me a lot in my concerns and he is extremely effective. Excellent service, at the top

On the other hand, certain elements do not work in Edge and certain elements are difficult to translate.

We've been using ReCharge for about eight months. For the most part, it's great; subscriptions are fairly easy for customers, and setting up the rulesets on products is easy. Installation is basically automated. A couple times we needed support to fix an interaction between ReCharge and a theme feature or other app, but they were always able to update it and were always polite and professional about it.
No way to view within the app which customers are subscribed to which products. You have to download a report and then look those people up in the app one by one.
Subscriptions require that products be duplicated in your catalog. Only one is live on the site, so UX is the same, but it clutters the back end if you have a large catalog.
Pretty easy to use
Once it's set up, you'll rarely need to touch it

The ReCharge support team has been very helpful in data migration, go live and tracking down issues. I have been please with the responsive I have received and their willingness to continue discussions on an issue until I understand or it is resolved. We are not current using additional paid support so it sometimes takes longer than I would like to get answer. I do always get a response in 24 hours.
